What is art?

To state another way, Klaus and his ilk will own everything.
Well, even if in case of a such menacing scenario, the 'art' should be and probably will be beyond that. Simply, not all creative force and immediacy of its expression can not be monetized and subsequently owned

I believe I was responding to the fact that van Gogh did not realize commercial success in his lifetime. If an infinitesimally small percentage of the population can erect a governance and economic structure where they control and own everything, art will lose its commercial value, except to the controlling class. Absent AI, this would cause an absolute stoppage in innovation and technology. Perhaps they’re trying to take control, to shrink the global population, because humans will not be necessary as innovation generators, but will simply become eaters. They want to control the AI, to reap the benefits, while doling out the minimum in terms of a basic income for the masses. A scenario where no cattle become their fellow ranchers.

Aldo in a funny manner, I am trying to state the obvious but confronting truth. Creative process behind artistic expression is not always motivated by commercial success and art can be created and enjoyed beyond monetization. If you look back to the history of art, or history in general, you may notice that such occurrence where very small percentage of wealthy or powerful people were in control of every social and economic process did not stop people of creating or enjoying art or either caused the 'stoppage in innovation and technology'. Again, some things are beyond commodity and should remain so, imho
