What is the best speaker you have ever owned ?????

yes plug & play steve , came in the seven boxes , assembly in well under a hour.

couple of hours getting them fine tuned in the room. My first all one make system ever with supplied universal remote for the whole system

actually cheaper than my old system , but a huge improvement in sound

down grade in cost - upgrade in sound , never ever came across this before in audio

Wow! Just read the review on this one...how is it? Comparisons please! Enjoy!

My best friend Jocelyn is also the guy that rebuilt my Acoustat 1+1s all steel frame as built a pair of non existing Acoustat Spectra 8800s all metal frame covered with mahogany wood total size 41x102x12 inches width - height - deep - they weigh 800 pounds each huge panel with a soundstage to die for here is a picture of me with the speaker.

One serious speaker! I see your friend has a JL F212 or JL F213 Subwoofer in the back, is that correct? Tell us more about the entire system as well please. Also, for those of us who do not know Acoustat so well...what are the different models? What is the difference betwee this one and yours, or are they the same? Thanks!

also, are you sure those speakers are "only 102 inches"? that would be 8.5 feet tall...somehow they look closer to 9-9.5 feet?

Each individual panel (of the 8 per speaker) is about 48" high, so 102" sounds about right.

About 5' 3"?

I would have been spot on if you'd mentioned the extra height from the frames :D

I haven't owned that many speakers:

Boston Acoustics A40 and (later) A100
Kef101
Spica TC50 and Angelus
B&W 801F
Dunlavy SCIV
Dunlavy SCV
Dunlavy SCIV (current)

It's likely obvious what I prefer.
