1971 Bronze/Island Records Vinyl

Lindeman, that's a great LP. Do you have other UH LP's on the UK Bronze label? The UH Live on UK Bronze is very special, IMO.

* V.i.o.l.i.n. ...Sorry that it's not quite in line with Uriah Heep. ;) ...I don't wanna sound like a 'broken record'.

** Judas Priest; I got one CD, only one. ...And I bet that I'll never play it again; even after death! :D

Yep, great album. Actually, this Bronze/Island Records edition was pressed in the Netherlands. The UK Bronze version has a different cover, the eyes are brown.
This is the only LP i have of them but I will look around for the Live, thx for the tip.

You can't compare their first 2 albums to the rest, they were 70's hardrock style. These are the only 2 by them I like.

I don't know enough about them to know which album(s) stand above the rest (the best).

-> This is the only CD that I have of them:

- During the late seventies I had friends (a young couple of lovely good looking people) who were into bikes and Judas Priest. ...We listened to some of their music back then, with few beers. They were very good friends; and unique in their own style.
But I knew of Judas Priest before that; vaguely though as their music wasn't directly in line with the like of Yes, Jethro Tull, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Gentle Giant, Moody Blues, Soft Machine, Johnny Winter, Cat Stevens, Shawn Phillips, and a bunch more.

And unlike you and Davey here I know nothing about some of their different pressings (vinyls) and all that jazz.

And nonetheless it is fascinating that you mentioned them ('Judas Priest') because of some great memories during my lifetime, with some very nice younger (and some older too) people.

I'm talking about these two, Rocka Rolla from 74 and this one from 76, Sad Wings of Destiny;

The next one, Sin After Sin, released in 77 and although there were a few good songs on it, was more metal than hardrock.
Nice to hear that you associate great memories of the past with their music.

Unfortunately, the original UK Bronze pressings are getting to be a little unobtanium. Finding a clean pressing is probably not going to be an easy task. Easier if you are based in the UK, but in the US...:(
I think the UK original Bronze pressings are superior to all of the other pressings, including the Dutch. If you can find only one, I would go for 'Live' as I said before. Pretty amazing.
BTW, have you guys seen what the original UK Vertigo pressings of Black Sabbath are going for nowadays! Wow!

Just found a Look at Yourself UK Bronze pressing for $52.00. Found two possible Live UK Bronze pressings as well, mailed the seller to be sure, waiting for answer.

Got to be careful with the condition. Remember, these have probably been played extensively and a lot of seller's do not know the difference between VG+ and Mint- or for that matter how to grade at all.
Usual precursors apply,etc, etc.

Just got conformation from one seller and it's an original UK Bronze pressing. His rating is 'used'. Asked some more info about this but if the price is right, I'm gonna risk it.

Lindeman, you must have some Black Sabbath albums? ...Fan of Ozzy? :b

Got all of Black Sabbath albums with Ozzy. Big fan of Ozzy with Black Sabbath, not of him solo. Not a fan of Black Sabbath with Dio either. Big fan of Dio with Elf and Rainbow but not of him solo.

I just bought Uriah Heep Live on the UK Bronze label, he said the condition was very good. And I bought another one of him, Deep Purple Made in Japan, original 1972 UK Purple Records pressing, also in very good condition.
Total cost shipment included: $27.00
