To me, a footfall problem is not an acoustic feedback problem. Acoustic feedback is a specific thing, not a general purpose term for any unexplained sonic problem.

I understand from an attendee that there was a ceiling decoration directly above the listening couch in that room which was resonated by the music. Maybe there was no acoustic feedback problem. Maybe it was just the sound pressure resonating this ceiling decoration?

That wasn’t it. When the volume was turned up the sound was like a blender. It was volume related and to me it sounded like feedback. Once that happened and the person in charge turned it down and admitted they had an issue we left.
 
A question was any tube devices used as in a phono pre or preamp ? Phono pre more likely
the level of acoustic feed back being described is odd to me.
What I think is being described is tube microphonics.
this can be greatly exaggerated in certain imp miss matching of equipment .
an example is a tube headphone amp to headphones. Where the headphone is low imp and the amp is high imp.
lastly so once a CD player was used the system was fine ? Any videos of the improvement?

was unbalanced with excessive bass energy, causing the feedback , this can be solved by moving the TT location in the room ..!

Just not doing anything is very telling ..!
