I was big on Levinson in the past. My HT still is an AVP2 with No.431 and BPA-3
Nothing I've seen can beat the joy of using the Proceed remote. Talk about elegant simplicity. Too bad HSG killed proceed. The best user interface ever programmed into a processor IMO.
My 2 channel was a 380, 360s via AES/EBU from a Tascam Pro, 23.5, 332 and the 431 which ended up in my HT
I was seduced by tubes and sold everything except the 431 mentioned and the 360s dac. Now if I can only find a nice powercord for the 360s. What a pain having the IEC on the bottom instead of the rear.
Had a chance to hear the 55s briefly driving Eggleston speakers at the dealer's showroom. I'd say they are very good amps. Pretty effortless but again tubes have spoiled me.

The preamp at that time also for some reason, had the PC plugged into the bottom of the unit. So basically one had to put the unit on tiptoes--the problem being that the preamp was so light that the interconnects could pull it off the tiptoes
Furutech makes a nice right angle power cord that may work for your Levinson transport. I have one -it's not ultra highend but it's flexible and an improvement over stock in build quality. As I didn't do an A/B I can't say it's necessarily better in performance (I had a 390S, no longer have it).
