Wonderful Essay by Robert Harley About SET Amplifiers and the Measurement Thereof: "The Single-Ended Triode Paradox"

Lol you have answered my question .
Why not at home ? , because you play it on sets
Why? The music has a specific purpose and sitting at home with a glass of cognac in hand is not its purpose…but hey if that is the music you think shows off your system in the best light…I guess you gotta do what you gotta do…

audio is very interesting and complex subject

SET= for me , more natural, musical, relaxed amplification on planet …. I really dont have any needs to argue about SET topology and design specifications, because if you can not find and good things in system you are listening to, then you are on the wrong side of being and “audiophile”… like i always say, be humble, grateful for what you have….listening to music is the only point of this hobby…only music…. . and yes, my magical, full Lamm Signature system is life keeper….

Wish to all of you great day

Why bother debating this? (again)

Isn't it like arguing over how to cook a great steak?

SETs work for some and not for others. That's okay with me.

I enjoyed the sound of our CARY CAD 300SE Signature Monoblocks and if they hadn't been so bloody unreliable - from brand new - I would probably still be using them. I'm not.

I like my Audion 845. Far from perfect. But I enjoy them non the less. I have not bothered to get my Blades out of the crate. I would like to, but I have to much going on bother. And I am happy enough with what I have going on.

The Berning amp review reads like any other review of a high $$$$ amp. Robert has stuck to his formula. It will probably convince a few people with horns to try the amp.
