Look nice! BTW, I see the Synergistic Research Black Boxes in front/center of the speakers. I was inquiring about those...do you or they have any comments about how well they work? And what they have done particularly in this room?
Hi LL21 — the SR Black Boxes work fantastic. We find they control the bottom end bloat , but also add air and clarity to the midrange and upper frequencies. We have them available for audition in store or in home. Feel free to call us with any questions you may have regarding their design. We also use ASC bass traps (16in) in this 23 X 31 room. In addition, we have some acoustic pieces coming from Ekustik that we are going to experiment with.

Hope this helps.

Thank you! Sounds very interesting and very good to know!

Not forgetting the VR.thirty's big brother, here is the latest VR.fifty SE model in Arizona Desert bronze finish ready to play at one of two NYC showrooms owned by our retail partner, New Life Audio. Looking closely, you will see bridged WestminsterLab Rei amplifiers powering them. Harder to see is the first of two Rockna Wavedream Referfernce Signature DACs in the US fronted by a Lumin P1 used as a streamer only. It's a sweet combination, for sure.

To our friends in The Netherlands, your orange beauties just arrived from the paint shop and are stunning! Damon, of course, would not send me a photo without putting drivers in temporarily to give you a better sense of them:)

Tony, this Lexus color differs from your Endeavors McLaren Volcano Orange. It's a warmer shade with a mesmerizing shimmer all its own. Fausto is ready to paint a pair in any color you desire:)

Here is a rendering of Von Schweikert's newest premium footer design for the VR.thirty and other VSA models. The parts are milled from solid brass and are appropriately named Foundation Footers. Recent testing of prototypes confirmed superb isolation and a completely neutral sound. Each footer is individually adjustable and features a separate locking collar for secure use.

Final finishes and pricing have not yet been established; however, we expect them to be more affordable than our competition's premium footers. The projected availability is June 2025.

...for sure. The tone, detail and depth of soundstage was excellent there. I spent a few hours listening with a couple of friends. We talked about it all the way back on the train. Very tasty.

The latest pair of VR.thirties is being readied for shipment to our partner in Canada, Northstar Audio, in Toronto.

I'm biased toward this neutral colorway since it was selected by my wife, Debra, a noted interior designer trained in NYC who is now practicing in our new hometown on the Newport Coast. This Aston Martin paint color, Arizona Bronze, has become our best-selling colorway. The next pair of the thirties to be built will be in Porsche Oak Mettalic and a set of Ultra.fifty in Ferrari sea midst green metallic. Both should be stunners! On behalf of Damon and the team, we thank everyone for their support.

All, Von Schweikert and Hear This will display the VR.thirties in two rooms at the upcoming Southwest Audio Festival March 21-23. The larger room downstairs will feature the VR.thirty with JMF electronics hosted by Scott Walker Audio. VR.thirties with WestminsterLab electronics will be upstairs (room number to be advised). Joining the VR.thirties in this room will be the all-new Rockna Wavedream Reference Signature DAC, as the US debut. Damon and I look forward to seeing you there.

Is $50k an affordable alternative for a $100k speaker? I'm going on a limb here and suggesting anyone that can afford a $50k speaker can stretch for the 6 figure unit. Room size is an over used marketing strategy now? Good luck with the new model and I'm sure the VS lovers will be all over it.
Well, in 2021 to late 2024, $50K was my upper limit for a better speaker, not $100K. I held out until 1/24 when I purchased my VS VR9 SE Mk2 upgraded and I'm happy. So, the VR30 or VR50 could have been in the running now had they been available years earlier.

The new VS footers look non-tweaky unlike the prior reportedly excellent Critical Mass footers which apparently required several weeks to settle and then resettle when removed and reinstalled. Something to look forward to considering the pending price will be more reasonable than the Center Stage2LS 1.0 at $950 each (8 for a pair of speakers 200 to 800 lbs).

Hi All. Damon and I spent a few enjoyable hours at Jay's Audio Lab in Plantation, Florida, installing a pair of Ultra 7s, our smaller brother flagship to the Ultra 11s. We had the pleasure of pairing them first with CH Precision and then with the mighty Apex monos and Commander pre-amplifier. The streamer/server was an Esoteric, a fine unit, but we know more performance will be had when the Olympus and Horizon 360 arrive. Speaker cables were MasterBuilt Ultra, mirroring the same solid core cable tech used internally on VS Ultra series speakers. In the rear of the room, we installed two matching Schockwave-12 woofers used for analog room correction instead of additional bass. The Ultra 7s utilized our Foundation adjustable analog bass system to significant effect. Jay and his wife Giselle were great hosts—a hearty thank you to them both!

Yesterday, we visited Elliot and toured his new audio salon. The salon has two well-dimensioned sound rooms with high ceilings, so expect him to make great sound once the room treatments and gear are in. Congratulations and good luck, Elliot.

Our first night in town, Damon and I lucked into dinner at a family-owned Spanish restaurant, and it happened to be a once-a-month event centered around the wine and the most enormous bowl of paella we have ever seen!

...lucky for you guys you didn't have to move those amps! Mama-mia, that's a lotta iron. From the videos, it appeared that Damon was doing most of the work, Gary, so I hope you gave him the lion's share of the paella!

Let the maestro play and get out of the way. And yes, D received the lion's share of the paella!

One would need 3-4 men to list those amplifiers. 600 pounds each!

That's equivalent to 8.5 WestminsterLab Rei amplifiers (17 individual chassis) per channel.
