TechDAS Air Force Zero (real final photo)

...when you add the prerequisite extra 3 arms LOL.

I’m not on Facebook, and I was able to view the video.

In the video to me the turntable definitely looks significantly larger than the AF1 (?)

Techddas put super heavy tt on passive air bladder feet. They must believe this hepl manage vibration and result sound improvement. Maybe people should look to putting their tt on Stacore more. ( Am I getting points advertising for you Jarek :p)

. . .
This hobby has jumped the shark.

I totally disagree. I think the hobby presently is very vibrant. Vinyl, digital streaming and tape all are growing simultaneously.

I actually think the cost of reasonably high-end sound has come down over time.

The cost of high end sound was not necessarily always high. Many of the prices charged have jumped the shark though. Unlike before the high end population is shrinking and the only ones who will buy are the very rich who don't care about the price hikes and will buy anyway.

Ron. You need to get out more. How many millennials are spending lots of $$ on hifi.

400K turntables I am afraid is obscene. How many of these hi end jewellery ( hifi) companies will be around in 5 or 10 years?

once us pensioners get too old to spend $$ on hifi, it will be over as we see it today. Same for vinyl.

Streaming is the present and future of hifi and video. that said, I will still enjoy my vinyl albums, just refuse to pay the obscene prices they are charging for $20 Blue Note albums.

Ron means he is buying tape, streaming solution, and vinyl simultaneously

This is no Apolyt, or an Apolyt copy. The Apolyt is completely air-based, this one not. On top of that the Apolyt allows four tonearms. The tape drive of the Apolyt is two side based, it bears many advantages to an one sided belt solution.

sigh...

Now, who's the first one who'll get an AF0 and Apolyt in the same room?...

do you know of anybody that owns one or have you ever heard one being played?

I saw the huge beast 2 years ago @ the HK hifi show, but Dietrich said he did not have time to set it up to play.
