I assume he is keeping the same magnet assembly, and the materials would be upgraded ribbons and fascia (crossover??)?

That's pretty cool. I remember Graz in the old days having mixed feelings about Divas. However, once you finesse them, they are supposed to be sublime.

Did anybody else see Graz’s new announcement that he’s offering custom built Divas that have full modern material upgrades? He’s also offering upgrades to existing Divas to bring them up to that spec.

Lee

Where did you see that?

I'm not sure they're the same. Or are they?

Thanks Lee for starting this thread
I wanted to do it myself and was right in the middle of it when I got distracted...
I answered over there in the old Apogee Forum but as most of you probably aren't registered there, I copy my answer over here as well.

Hi Graz

Very nice to see some life here.
Congrats on the new speakers

Three Questions are important for me:
- Impedance
- Sensitivity
- Price

Can you answer those questions briefly?

Cheers,
Christoph

Oh no that's years ago, Marc. They did exist. Not sure anyone bought a pair. Huge, and used neodymium magnets.

More recently on this forum we have talked about all new Duettas and Divas using upgraded components.

The picture is actually bigger than is rendered on the Apogee forum on both my mobile phone and my laptop browsers for some reason. Hoping this displays correctly.

Yup - seems to.

Assume the red line is the no go unless you are Graz area:D

This one exists for maybe 10 years (or even more?) already ;)

Back then we Apogee-devotees on the old forum shook our heads in disbelief over the 100k price tag. Today it almost looks like a bargain

Maybe Graz sells his (only?) pair of Definitives for less than 100k now to have it out the workshop and to have some cash for other developments... :D

And I think he Definitives are 3-ways, not 4-ways

I suspect these Divas are considerably more sturdy than Defintive. Lotta metal in those new Diva Encores.

For the Definitive or for the Diva Encore E9?
Definitive is 2 post higher and for facts on the Diva Encore E9 I asked Graz on the old Apogee Forum already. No answer so far. I will post it here as soon as I know more ;)
