Robert Koda has always had fascinating designs and musically involving sound you don't hear often. I really enjoyed my K10 preamp while I owned it...I bet this amp is amazing

John, I trialled the K10 for a couple of weeks, and every visitor to me swore it was a top quality tubed preamp. If Robert has found magic again in producing a Class A SS power amp that has that tube signature vibe, he will truly be a modern day alchemist.

Some people I respect a lot praised the Koda 10 and 5 a lot. What is the RRP of the new amplfier?

Given that it comes from a family of extremely well regarded, highly nuanced designs...i do wonder how it would sound compared with the Gryphon which is also a high powered Class A SS design.

The new old Luxman amps I have do a very convincing job of not sounding SS like. More so than any SS amps I have tried. And better than any valve amps I have tried to boot.

Just saying.

Justin, for me the K10 was "too much". I found its effervescent technicolor presentation a little overbearing. And it seemed to slow music down, not in the sense of sluggishness or lack of PRaT, more this zen sense of being "in the moment". For me this was hugely attractive at the start of the trial, but not self effacing enough after 2 weeks.

In my new system that now sounds a million miles better than the one I trialled the K10 in, in a way better room, it would be intriguing to hear it again, or the K70.

Certainly the tuneful fleshed out and non hurried sound of the K10 or 70 thru this Koda SS amp that can also do the "I can't belive it's not tubes" trick would be fascinating.

Amadeus should know the price.;) He’s a great Koda fan and owner of K15 Ultimate line stage and K70 power amps.
