I am willing to get involved however what's the yearly membership fee? Rules/ Obligations? It has to work financially for everyone ..
They do this with boats here in Florida BTW :)

I dont know if it would be feasible for expensive amps , ... you know scratch marks etc possible break downs , but why not for audio cables .

For example you establish 3 cable swap clubs .

Elite cable swap club , cables priced up until 2K retail , membership fee 10 % .
For 200 $/ year you get 1 year unlimited swapping of up to 10 brands per year

Master elite swap club , cables up to 10 K retail price same 10 % membership fee .
1 K / year unlimited swapping.
,
Master emperor diamond cable club cables above 10 K retail
Membership fee 2,5 K for example and choice of 1O brands .

Audiophiles love to swap cables , they are easy to transport ( send ) and dont easily break , perfectly suited for easy swapping .

The cable industry might love the idea as well

Strange pic. Two L10 [upper] units (running in mono presumably) but no L10 power supplies. Magazine not tall enough? :)

agreed ... has anyone read it to see if they were using mono L10's in the test ...... that might account for the strange matching in the photo

I read the review. With respect to bass he says, "...the 10 Series walked the fine line to reproduce the visceral thrill of bass weight and body..."

After reading that I am keen to hear the M10/L10 again. Biased or not, I doubt one would speak the way he does about the bass if it were anemic.

Sure it might do appropriate bass on a high overall impedance/ eff speaker .
But it might not be sufficient on your XVX 1,6 ohm min speaker .
In your case you should definetively do a home try out before ditching the 3060 , at least thats my opinion

the 3060 has not shown up yet to even consider ditching it!

He is testing it with bi-amp mode. One channel is driving XVX with full range and the other channel driving subsonic with crossover

If you buy a standalone XVX (without the sub) , you might get a different view of the combination .
In my view he should have included a section in which he drove the XVX alone (without the sub ) with the 10 series ( may be he did so i didnt read the review )
Not everybody is going to buy subsonics

I know, not the M10, but my M1 is pretty wimpy in a bi-amp mode. Why waste all that goodness driving a sub

The reason they are wired that way is to get the most coherent sound possible. He has subs, that's what he has, and the best way to get the most out of what system he is using is to use the entire amplifier for each channel. Perhaps the reason the gentlemen who listened in LA was unhappy is that they did not use the best possible amplifier to drive the sub section of the speaker.(among other possible reasons as well)
The result is based on the system. I have a client that has Aeon Reference with two M1.1 stereo and we wired his system the same way and the result is fantastic. In this case however there is no active crossover.
FYI in my experience using different amplifiers can cause a multitude of issues with getting the system sounding its best.

I have a stereo M10 in my system.
