Wait till you lift that monster it's solid , Lampizators best build to date
Any comments on microphony? The Golden Gate 2 I have rattles like a garbage can. The chassis requires mandatory damping however it can be accomplished. I sure hope the Horizon is better made. It may no longer reveal its damping deficiencies as easily as the GG2 since it does not use DHTs anymore, but I'm curious as to what new owners have found. When you tap your finger on the chassis, can you hear it through the speakers?

When I think of chassis damping, I think of an impressive demo that Caelin Gabriel did for us when we visited Shunyata a few years ago. If they know how to damp a metal chassis in Poulsbo, WA, they surely know how to do that in Poland, right?

There is no ringing that I can hear. When Lukasz was here last month I asked about using Herbies damping rings. He said there’s no need. As for the Pacific, definite ringing and yes damping rings are beneficial. BUT he also said there is no need for a damping ring on the rectifier because they don’t ring

Could you possibly provide a clue on the status of the queue? Morse code? Numerical puzzle? Number of likes given to posts in a day? Definitely not a straight answer - too common. Something like the Da Vinci Code ;)
Fred should start a WORDLE for names about to get their Horizon.
I'm thinking of a number between 5 and 53

I'm guessing I'm 53. I am patiently waiting and living vicariously through this thread.

I like number 69 so i specifically asked to have this order number  :p

I didn’t think so. I am confused about Al’s comment.
Ok I’m soo sorry for a very confusing post
regrading my tubes I have
owned and purchased
none from the new western electric site
so for this post correction when I post reissue it means from past company while it maybe the same it has moved a few times

sone time around 1970 it scaled back moved to new location.
Over the years there have been some base variation with the type of label
some painted not I graved
some white
some yellow
a few years back like 6 or 8 years back I went into a tube buying thing
I own 2 western electric 274b tubes
one is yellow I graved
one is non I graved white
label
from my memory thr white one is 1970 or beyond
yellow is before
all do have date codes inside and outside
note the codes inside dont match the codes
there is a lot of mystery to tube markings and it seems many views as well.
we also did make tubes marked for others sylvania for one
are these the same do they sound the same
who knows also some for the military as well.
when I refer to new I meant new nos
not just nos.
I was not able to find bsck tjen new in box nos yellow
but i did buy as new in box nos white painted a one

now for me I really don’t like nos that is not new
not tested new but new in the original box new
while my yellow tested as new
my white new in box nos tested higher
also does not sound exactly the same
very close but my guess is not burned in as color inside looks new as yellow nos.
when I asked rue if new I meant new in box nos period

as I did say both real we 274b sound close and not as tak nor psvane
the otjers have some close qualities
to me real has more air
more staging
higher noise floor
where new replicas have there own greet sounds as well.
im so sorry for any confusing comments there left sone or most scratching there heads
so Rodney how is your used lije new nos we274b tube in the H dAC ??
lol had to say it like this Rodney hahaha.

My head hurts

Atleast I can admit it was totally confusing post
I can blame alcohol as I had plenty of smuggled scotch on board lol.
but what I wanted in my post is not what others comprehend
some know me and laugh with me it’s called
speaking Al
and some use an Al translator
i can say I’m fine being looked at it’s all in fun
anyone who does cross a line with has no doubt I’m pissed off.
anyway I hope my correction post helped
honestly I did put some effort to fix things a bit.

I can not find AL in Google Translate...

The postings from the newest Horizon owners have been few and far between. Maybe they are not WBF members.

Seems like it yes...pity
