We live in a far from perfect world.
But something more important lol , Roger how is the C37 restoration going ??
Well Dan Z has all the final parts to complete it and we are shooting for this March. I and my brother have just survived Covid so it's up and away from here. I did lose my 98 year old Father to Alzheimer's at the end of January. The last 3 years have been extremely tough. Time to move on. Thank you.

A lot of what he says is ( probably) true , but as he appears to be actively shorting the stock( Pfizer ) , he has a certain self interest as well off course
He says he is not actively short Pfizer or Moderna. I am not either but I do use other vehicles to hedge. I do agree with Mr. Dowd and my hedge account is up over 100 pct in the last 30 days. That tells me the "smart money' is selling in a big way despite the Fed trying to prop it up.

The World is on the verge of a financial upheaval and as you can see worldwide the pangs of a war against humanity vs the Power structure has already begun.
Please watch this video and become aware of what everybody will have to face in the coming days, weeks, and months. A criminal fraud that cuts across society at every level. Do not be mad because those have been lied to took actions that they believed to be right. Be Safe and be well.

Former Black Rock Investment advisor blows the whistle on the massive criminal fraud that has gripped the World.

Paraphrase? (Maybe in PM). It appears I am hyper sensitive to the shit ass audio. My blood boils trying to listen to that. It’s not an audiophile ego response, it’s from my bones. I would fight to get away from that.

Someone gave gold a kick in the butt , finally
2022 (2023) is gonna decide whether its gold or BTC ( or both) who will be inflation hedges .
I dont see stocks / real estate moving much higher
Basel III framework did.
The end of January 22 Goldman Sachs raised his prediction of 12 month gold price to 2150 usd/toz .
It means more than 20 % compared to beginning December 2021 gold price.
If markets are rational ( I am not sure they still are ) gold should be the best hedge against inflation and worldwide growing after pandemic debts.
For me it means that every long term oriented portfolio should have up to 10-15 % of gold exposure.
My investment from 2014/2016 with the avg price of 1250 usd/toz is now up 52 % within 7 years ( in usd, in local currency is even better ). Till 2008 I did not believe in gold, then I changed my mind . IMHO Bretton Woods system will be not back but in the scenario of war/monetary crisis gold is an ultimate hedge.
As for BTC and ETH I have very small exposure to ETFs, just to keep in touch.

Okay then .
75 to 100 basispoints is already enough to prick the 12 year bubble .
I guess the fed will go as high as 200 basis points and when they see the market tanking 40 % as a result , they know the game is up

BTC is behaving like a tech stock .
I d say Dow between 15.000 - 20.000 in autumn .
Then we ll see if Powell still sticks to his rate hike plan.
The low interest rate bubble has run its course.

Bitcoin and energy consumption

Yup, but people will justify it with ridiculous and illogical arguments like "it'll encourage the adaptation of 'green' energy", and comparisons with the current banking system, which is so obviously an apples to oranges comparison it's hard to believe anyone can say it with a straight face. Then they'll make up fanciful future scenarios, but the problem is that's all in the imagination and none of it is real. What IS real, is that BTC has been a blight on the world ever since it's introduction. Who knows what the future holds, but lets be realistic as to what BTC has contributed to the world thus far... it's used excessive energy, contributing to climate change, and it promotes criminal activity like cybercrime, human trafficking, drug trade and Russian wars.

Pump, dump, pump, dump, pump, dump.

Situation normal. Volatile assets do this.

Only in BTC's case the trend is undeniably up long term.
