Vitus and Marten is a great combo. I'm using Emia and DarTZeel with Marten.
Which Marten do you have? What sources are you using?

I have the AVM flagship amps. They are a ver under-covered brand IMO. They make a lot of all-in-ones. However, the owner was involved in Burmeister for years .This amp is a hybrid tube in and SS out with 1,100 watts on all loads. It is absolutely beyond belief great, Wonderful amps in every way. Absolute synergy with my thirsty Martens. I may change my front end soon, but these are staying!

Congrats. I believe the current crop of martens are outstanding in every way. I run a pair of Coltrane momento 2 and also Oscar duos. They are both superb in all the ways you describe above.
Woww! The Coltrane Momento 2 are huge and I am sure they are fantastic! What amplifiers are you using?

i have been through a lot of amplifiers trying to find the right one for me. For the last few years i have been using Audia Flight Strumento 8 power amps and last year i got the ChP L10 preamp.
I know some audiophile friends are using two Vitus MP-S201 for bi-amping the Supreme 2.2

Gorgeous, I have the MK1. I am a huge fan. They are so transparent yet sweet. That sweet + Transparent quality is what makes them my favorite speaker. I must admit that I do not like the look of the MK2 as much. I know the carbon fiber will improve sound, but I love the wood of mine so much. As far as I know other tweaks include changes to crossover and the feet, but I put isoacoustics on mine, which is what those feet are. I am sure they sound superb. What do you have in front of them? Mine need lots of juice. (I think the MK2 are bit more sensitive, though).

Congratulations!!
Really curious if there is such a huge improvement with the MK2. Did you had a chance to compare them. Maybe a good time to pick up a pair of MK1’s on stock….

I just took delivery of the new Marten Mingus Quintet 2 Statement Edition speakers one week ago! This speaker will be launched at the High End Munich 2022 in May!

Initial impressions of the speakers are very positive. For its size, the bass is deep and very fast. The sound is very transparent and dynamic. The soundstage is huge and images beyond the outside edges of the speakers.

I havent compared them. Differences seems relatively small. I find it amazing how little Marten are discussed on this forum, considering how great they are.

For me, the Mingus are the sweet spot in the whole range. The parker diamond are great too, and the additional backfiring drivers add soundstage. But he Mingus is more refined. They are perfect for my room size and so gorgeous.

I am thinking of replacing my TAD CR1 MK2 with either the Parker Quitet diamond, the Mingus Quintet 2 or still in play, the Zellaton Plural EVO discussed elsewhere on this forum. Depends what is best for my listening room which is not to big (4m x 7m).

@Sampajanna , may I ask, what is the size of your room?

At the moment I have the Aesthetix Janus paired with a Gryphon Antileon Signature.

I'm about to rebuild the bench and hopefully it will end up with a better location for theamplifier.
Hopefully I will also gain some better space to adjust the placement of the speakers.
Nice system! I had a Gryphon Antileon Signature for 20 years before I changed to a Vitus SIA-030 amplifier.

I'm a fan of Marten, don't get me wrong. But I'd want to be very sure that move from CR1 to Mingus or Parker is actually an upgrade. I'm not sure it would be.

Question for folks who have heard older generation Marten vs newer. I have the Getz 2 from the Heritage line. What I've found personally is that, to me, the second order crossover design sounds more continuous and just flows better than the first order crossovers that immediately followed. I notice they are still tweaking the (first order) crossover in Mingus 2 (vs Mingus 1) as well. So I'm curious if anyone has heard the progression of the crossover designs and can comment on it. I simply don't know if I'd like the current iteration of their first order design or not. I certainly didn't like their initial attempts.
