Season 1 of White Lotus was a terrific series to watch while we were all sequestered during the pandemic and it was justly rewarded by winning so many awards.......

The White Lotus is an American black comedy-drama anthology television series created by Mike White for HBO.[4][5] It follows the guests and employees of the fictional White Lotus resort chain, whose stay is affected by their various psychosocial dysfunctions. The first season is set in Hawaii and the second season is set in Sicily.

Intended as a six-part limited series, The White Lotus premiered on July 11, 2021, to critical acclaim and high ratings. The show's success led to HBO renewing it as an anthology series; a second season premiered on October 30, 2022.[6] In November 2022, the series was renewed for a third season.[7]

The American Film Institute named it one of the ten best television programs of 2021 and 2022.[8][9] The first season was the most-awarded series at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, winning 10 awards, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Directing for White, Outstanding Supporting Actress for Jennifer Coolidge, and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Murray Bartlett.[10]

well Season two was released a few weeks ago and this one takes place in Sicily (shot at the Four Seasons Hotel) and although it wasn't as good as season one my wife and I truly enjoyed the series as we spent the entire season trying to guess who the dead body floating in the ocean was as episode one opened.....

This is really a fun series and there are suggestions that it will be back for season 3

As a bit of trivia, the creator of The White Lotus was a contestant on Survivor a few seasons ago....he issued a real whack job but with a very creative mind....

Only 7 episodes and worth the fun.....

I have found this season to be boring so far with Patrick S being the only interesting character. Hopefully things will pick up. Not sure where the storyline is going with the 3 female friends other than them backstabbing each other.

My wife started watching this a couple of weeks ago. I picked it up in the last few episodes of season one, tried to watch some of seasons two and three. I find it really dumb.

Last night's episode began to tie everything together. If you didnt see last season you'll miss some of the story

We watched the first 2 seasons. Found it boring and self-indulgent but stuck with it for reasons of cultural competency. Will not be watching season 3. After listening to Mike White's recent interview with Andrew Sullivan, I understand why I don't like it...

Andrew Sullivan is the former editor of The New Republic and a well known, long-time blogger. He is probably best known for being at the vanguard of marriage equality. I'm a little late to the party, just finished Season 1 a few weeks ago. But with NBA getting closer to playoffs and March Madness, I don't have as much time to watch other shows.

I'm having a harder time getting into Season 2. Maybe it's the characters? The Tanya and Greg story is keeping me interested but just barely. I'll keep watching but hoping the story gets more engaging.

TBH I prefer season 3 to the first 2 seasons. My wife and daughter prefer the first 2 seasons...go figure...probably because after all episodes released we still dont have a clue what is going to happen

Thanks Steve, I'll keep that in mind and try to work my way through season 2.

I've been a Lakers fan since the magic Johnson days but I try to support the local Toronto Raptors as well.

Steve you go back far enough when they played defense in the NBA and they couldn't carry the ball. My goodness if Earl The Pearl Monroe was allowed to handle the ball like in todays game he would have averaged 40 points a game! I followed the Knicks with Willis Reed, Clyde Frasier, and Phil Jackson was the hatchet man! Different game now. I used to score all the games...

The love affair with the 3 point shot has completely changed the game...and not in a good way.
