MU 1 vs. Innuos Statement

Hello all,
I am considering two used streamers, The Grimm MU 1 and The Innuos Statement. The MU 1 is literally 3 months old and The Statement is 3.5 years old. As of now, the price differentiation is not that important.
Regarding the internal parts of a 3 month old product vs. the internal parts of a 3.5 year old product:: is there a difference between them regarding their respective ages not their circuits? Are there parts in a 3.5 year old product that are now outdated? In today's world where technology takes exponential jumps in very short time periods does the age difference of these two excellent products matter?
Thank you again,
Mark

As I see it, the deciding factor between the two lies outside the servers themselves, but rather points instead at the DAC used with them.
In the case of the MU ,1 with its internal upsampling through the AES/EBU out, it seems that due to its particular design philosophy, a sympathetically designed DAC (one that could make use of the aforementioned feature) would be best suited to it, while in the case of the Statement, with its optimised USB, another -wider perhaps- category would seem ideal.
As for internal components, there is no reason they would exhibit any serious deterioration from only 3.5 years of use, not to mention that with the Statement you would also have a clear upgrade path through their second generation Sean Jacobs power supply upgrade.

tedwoods,
Thank you so much for your reply. You explained many points that I did not even think of.
I just (six weeks ago) purchased The Lampizator, Baltic 4, Engine Eleven dac (yes, I have been told by members here that considering the streamers that I am looking at, I should consider an upgraded Lamiizator dac...I will in due time).
Knowing which dac I own (for a while) do you have a suggestion which of the two streamers, to which I am refering I should purchase?

tedwoods,
1. I understand that a usb connection is not the optimal connection with the MU 1.
2. The Statement has had it's power supply upgraded in 2022 by Innuos and the seller is offfering upgraded umbilical connections labeled" Innuos, Statement 8 Pole Neutrix" 1.5 meters.

Thank you kindly for considering the points I've touched upon.
The Statement will be a superb match for the Lampi, especially since it has the new power supply and upgraded umbilicals.
