Show reports are interesting because I find it really does matter what music is playing when one is in the room listening.
OCD Mikey goes off on ESD for example as being grossly overpriced poor made junk. So one guy has it top 4 rooms while another guy says it's utterly awful.
He lists a bunch of bad rooms too at the beginning which will ruffle feathers as they are big pricey set-ups.
@23:45 on - I like Acapella - Mikey rants about them - but when the owner Herman runs the room he plays the likes of guns and Roses at top volume - so again - it usually comes down to the music being played.
It's not the showrunner's fault necessarily - sometimes you are in the room and they are playing someone's requested album - GnR and AC/DC drive people from the room so I get why they play Somewhere Over the Rainbow and a steady diet of Diana Krall.
I've recently become quite infatuated with Constellation Audio. Can you give me your insights about this room, and what you heard, pls? And thank you for such incredible coverage of the show...

All of my top 5 from Munich were well setup and have great soundstage and image. While I am not a big Wilson fan, this year the combo of Wilson and Constellation was very different in a way that had more appeal to me. As a tube lover, I find SS to be very transparent, but verydry/lean and fatiguing.
Constellation is among the few SS brands that do SS better than most. The sound in this room at the show was much more musical. It kept the SS transparency with seemingly zero distortion, but had tonality, body, and bass extension I often dont get at these shows. Even more surprising is that it accomplished all of these virtues without any room treatment and killed many rooms that did.
While the digital was just a touch brittle for my taste the separation of vocals and instruments was dead on. There was great depth to the music and seamless coherency. I liked it quite a bit and if I had more time I would have given it another round
