Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

I'm currently enjoying nos 46 ST and 45 EML mesh globes in my preamp and DAC respectively but I continue to wonder if the ACME 300B is worth trying in lieu of the 45s in my DAC using the 5v heater.

A bold statement but I consider the EML 45 mesh to be one of the great tubes. Anyone done a direct comparison?

Will be a special selected serie or a normal 211 selected for Kondo?

the EML special anniversary globes, solid plate is better than the mesh for lower noise and more nuance. The mesh is airy for vocals, but overall the solid plate is better. It is true these are great 45s. Where are you using the 46

I was able to secure a NOS pair 46 globes and in my KR Audio P135 preamp I feel this is the best tube I have ever heard.

I'd like to secure another pair for my DAC.

Are the 46's compatible with the 45?

bonzo, I know Lukasz was selling the Anniversary EML 45 mesh with the Lampi name on it. Was he also selling the 45 solid plate? I carelessly fried my 45 meshes and have assumed that their standard 45's, mesh or solid plate, are not at the same sonic level.

Yes, but you need socket adapters.

Jeesh, close to the chest. Brand(s)?

They are are RCA but I believe all the old 46 globes are the same construction.

46 ST are also excellent and a lot more ubiquitous, most dealers have them.

you will find a lot of reports on the forum on Thomas Mayer’s 46 amp. However it is a very low watt amp, and you will need to find appropriate speakers for that

I am looking for a new psvane acme source since grant fidelity does not carry them anymore.

Are you referring to the molybdenum plate AN-4242E, made by Psvane for Audio Note?

Greetings from Switzerland, David.
