Drive direct to Blumenhofer in 86877 Walkertshofen, germany i think only 3-4 hours from zürich ,swiss.

The 2x220 exhibits virtually no horn signature, which is probably less the case for its big brother.

I've also listened to at least 3 systems with Voxativ drivers, including the PureAudioProject Trio15 Voxativ.
One can think this up, then make it...

No, it doesn't beam (noticeably), but there's some minor pattern-flip and the 'transition' between the waveformer and the radial horn.Strictly sweet spot-ish?
I could live with these subtle side-effects and it takes a trained ear + knowledge to even perceive them. I haven't read any comments of this nature online.

These are some of the most impressive-looking horns I have seen. Our Trafomatic Audio distribution partner in The Netherlands is a huge fan of Blumenhoffer speakers. I can't wait to hear them with the Trafomatic Glenn 300B mono amplifiers at the Dutch Audio in October!

I heard this Classic 1743 model and thought it was "fun" to listen to (on a short period of time), but I remained globally unimpressed: expressiveness for sure, though no real "life-likeness" (not enough "naturalness" for me; but were the Mola-Mola monoblocks ideally partnered amplifiers?). I'm sure they make better models than this one.

They were really great.

It was a limited edition model 'Concert X' including a horn loaded open baffle midrange section with air flow duct and bass face plug.
Somewhat similar to the Western Electric Mirrophonic and G.I.P. 9700A.

The Classic-series were Blumenhofer's take on the big JBL studio monitors of the '70s and '80s.[please forgive my poor English]

33k is a considerable amount of money, but 6k for (pre-production & used) 1733s seems reasonable.
Instead of the JBL 2235H, this 1733 features the custom BHA woofer.
