I'm not convinced that the Lampizator solution offers a "plastic" digital source. Let's be honest folks, Lampizator isn't synonymous with that description?

For Lampi you can use 45 too, the best are the EML globe anniversary. The solid plate are preferred in amps, both solid plate and mesh work in Lampi, the mesh are better on vocals but solid plate is preferred on other instruments. Also the Lampi 45 is similar to the EML globe anniversary. They are quite better than normal EML or KR 45
They are worth it compared to KR 45. I like KR amps but even the yamamoto which was being sold used for 1800 was better than the P135. I tried P135 with various valves and definitely the EML solid plate works better in it.
For Lampi don't get the 300b, even if it sounds good in amps. The 45 after you get one set you can use in amp, pre, and Lampi so you will know. Apart from those two get the PX25 (either KR or RK), and 242 (KR or RK). You can get one with your Lampi itself, the other you will need to buy. Then depending on what sounds best, sell the other one.
Sorry just realized this was an Abbas thread so please let's move to Lampi thread.
I was planning on getting the best300.com Lampizator which is fixed to 300b.
Having WhatsApped Lukasz Fikus about this odd dac he told me that it is basically a big 7 MK2 in a non-DHT case with no balanced or heater switching options.
It also used the same miflex copper caps.
Basically it is a steal compared to a big 7.
Lukasz also admitted that the best300b is superior to a GG1

The whole point of getting a Lampi is that the valves can be rolled to suit gain and impedance of the system, plus preference. I don't see much point in getting a Lampi that will stay fixed in sound with stock valves, except for budget reasons. Please move Lampi discussion to another thread.
I already posted this in a tannoy thread. But the source is abbas dac 3.2se fed from abbas usb-spdif, auralic g2 and roon nucleus. You need headphones.
Its the pcm58 based version. Artnet has one of those and likes it. Abbas says it is more “precise” sounding than the tda1541 based model. I havent heard it myself but im sure its a great dac.
My 2.1se came with a philips ecg 5687 which is good but i liked a tung-sol better.
I emailed him right before it started and have not heard back. I have another thread on the Hifihaven forum where some people had heard from him initially, but no longer.
