O Wow! Somehow I was not aware of this installation, what a wonderful surprise! Congratulations Audioquattr for assembling such a fantastic system and cordial thanks for choosing our Advanced platform for the critical job of the AF3 decoupling! I'm sure we are up to the task. As far as I know, this is the first ever TechDas-Stacore combo, so double thanks Audioquattr for trying it. Wish you many mnay hours of happy listening and musical joy :)

Cheers,
Jarek

PS A little commercial input: We keep our offer if anyone wants to try AF1 on Stacore we ship free anywhere in the world.

Finally installed my AF3 premium.
I like it very much, sound is very good. It is very silent and so much more detail than i am used to.
Bass and midbass is very fast powerful and controlled, i'm :).

This can be easily remedied, Juergen :)

@bonzo75 passive platform with an active air refilling is not the same as an active platform, which works on completely different principles.

Cheers,
Jarek,
missed you on Warschau Audio Show, I was there for three days,
mostly with Pawel Derkowski @Radisson :)

Yes, we skipped it this year - too much work throughout the year and it was too late to get an individual stall.
Cheers,

I moved the Axiom tonearm with MSL Platinum cartridge from the Kronos to the AF3 premium.
I have listened about 3-4 hours now but have to say that this combination has more drive more energy than on the Kronos.
Mids and highs are more dynamic on the AF3p. Bass is outstanding from this TechDas.
Soundstage and small details there is not much difference compared to the Kronos.

Audioquattr, do you think the Stacore Adv platform is adding a lot to the AF3 positive results? I have to say my analog is transformed on it.

I find it a bit difficult to make absolute conclusions right now, because a lot has changed in my system the last few weeks/months, but it does improve the midbass and bass, you can follow notes even better.
Higher mids and highs i hear not much difference. I have to admid that with my old Feickert i lost some high energy with a platform but not with the Techdas. One thing for sure i don't loose anything, only improvements here and there.

I optimized all the adjustments of VTA, VTF, antiskate etc and load on phonostage for the 3 combinations of tonearm/cartridge
and am happy with the results of the individual combi's.

I have the Reed 5T tangential tonearm with the Grado Epoch cartridge on loan.
I very much prefered this combi to the Ikeda 407/Harmony and to the Axiom/MSL Platinum on the Kronos.
So i hoped (but allreay not believed) a little bit that moving the Axiom/MSL Platinum to the AF3 premium would give a more fair fight.

But allthough it performed better on the TD, i very much prefered the Reed 5T/ Epoch combi.
The tone from low to high is beautiful and dynamics are amazing. This Cart is so fast, unbelievable. The highs are the best i have ever heard.
So i have to find out what brings the most in this combi, both tonearm and cartridge must be good but what brings the Magic...?
I will try later (this weekend?) to put the Grado Epoch in the Axiom or Ikeda.

Great looking set up. Congratulations. I really like the wooden shelf and Stacore support. Did you listen to the AF3 without the Stacore too? I'm curious how the Stacore affected the sound. One does not read much about that MSL Signature Platinum cartridge. Could you please describe the sound in your system and how it compares to some other cartridges?

I spot a Pass XS Phono on the rack. I love this phono stage. How do you like it?

I have the same arm cart combo in the rear of my Techdas now too. The sound is more solid more planted more organized than when the Platinum was on my Kronos.

I see you like the Kronos record weight.

Kind regards,
Tang

Seems like the poor Kronos is out of favour on this forum. Why do the various owners of this table believe that there is loss of information in regards to their Tech Das models? Is it the speed control, arm/table incompatibility...something else?

So you have the axiom and MSL on techdas now? You prefer it to the SAT with the Opus on techdas? How does GFS with axiom on techdas compare to that combo on the 927

They both rethrieve information equally well imo. Kronos character is more like lightning storm while Techdas is more like a Tsunami. Now I let you go wild with your imagination...hahahah.
