Artemis is using 6 big blue caps and has 1 transformer.
It looks like 50V 180,000 uF - total 1,080,000 uF - 1350 joule.

Apollo doubles that to 12 big caps, 2 transformers and 2700 joule.

Holy Wattage Batman!

I always wanted an amp that I could pour water on.

The cap size looks like a 76x140mm type, but instead of using big uF and "slow" ripple current caps I think AD uses smaller and "faster" caps.

For example this on Artemis
100V - 39,000 uF - total 234,000 uF - 1170 joule - RC 17
or
160V - 18,000 uF - total 108,000 uF - 1380 joule - RC 14
or
200V - 15,000 uF - total 90,000 uF - 1800 joule - RC 13

Comparison:
If Apollo uses 160V caps - 2760 joule

Krell MRA - 5400 joule
Boulder 3050 - 2900 joule
Boulder 2050 - 1130 joule

Well, that says a lot about how far over the edge DA wanted to push his MRA design...last produced in 2006 and still a beast in weight, power delivery (1600 watts/8ohms and always doubling), joules, etc.

Would really love to hear someday...

Reminds me of the quality of Angstrom of Italy (tubes galore).:p

I am getting them in for review in mid April. They should be fantastic on the MBLs. They sure are drool worthy.
