Dear Chi-End aficionados,

I am a little bit stuck with quality High End products from China since I bought a Line Magnetic LP-33 phono amp some weeks ago. Internet investigations of Line Magnetic’s products showed different very interesting looking "Analog Sound" amps in their product portfolio.

These amps are built following Line Magnetic’s original Western Electric spirit with tubes and lots of transformers. I also like their vintage looks. Especially the pre amp models AS-133 and AS-129 as well as the tube buffer AS-123 Look interesting to me.

Unfortunately, you can rarely read about their sound on the Internet. Are there any experiences of and with Analog Sound here in the forum? Then please share!

Best regards
Steffen

I've only heard the AS integrated once. I forget the model number. Very very good sound. However, I would call it basically on-par with the 845 Premium (2 chassis) which I heard in another dealer system, in a different room, on the same day.

I ended up with the LM512ca Preamp and LM503pa (845 SET) monoblocks as they were a solid step-up in sound from both. But, like you, I do adore that well-executed vintage WE look. The heft of the AS series lends to its authenticity.

Hello Baltan;
I too have the LP-33, as well as the SET , 8 watt 609ia. After replacing all of the tubes with NOS and bettter tubes, I think the system sounds wonderful. I only wish that I could transport it for comparison to other SET systems. The LP- 33 now has NOS Telefunken 12AX7’s, the integrated amp has 12AX7 bugle. Boys, 1960a Brimar 6SL7’s, Sophia Electric Aqua II 274b’s and WE 300B’s. This works until my full Decware system arrives. I am not pro chi-fi, but it sure sounds good to me

Oh, a dealer did send an upper end Sutherland phono stage, it lasted five minutes in my system. I am running a Garrard 301 with the Korf ceramic tone arm and Lyra Delos
