Congrats on your AV speakers. 107 db will pick up noise from a lot of amps, so understand your issue with the V12R.
I used a V12i with my 103DB Duo G1, non Omega and didn't hear any noise, but my 107DB Duo Mezzo's definitely are more noise sensitive.
Awesome choice! I loved them at Axpona this year. CongratsView attachment 54688Got mine Avantgarde Acoustic Uno fino Edition a week ago, had to search for a quite power amp, my Cary v-12r wasn’t quiet enough. I came across a pair of JJ mono blocks, they are perfectly dead quiet and sound nice. They utilize 2A3-40 and renders about 10W each.
Thanks for your feedback mallen123. When you referred to the Duo Mezzo with Basshorn, were you referring to the full size basshorn XD? (as of course the Mezzo's already have the short basshorn integrated into the speaker). For those who like the look of the Duo's, not many subs can compete with the Basshorn for speed and accuracy and how easy it is to blend in with the mid and tweeter horns.
There is an equally huge difference between the Duo Mezzo with Basshorn (or Primo with 2 Basshorns ) and every other version of G2 Duo with normal subs, so if prospective buyer can stretch for a Mezzo (even a non XD version ) you won't be disappointed.
The Basshorn is so fast, the speaker is really transformed. It's not just the bass, but the entire soundstage is improved.
Thanks, to choose color was the hardest choice about this purchase. All the colors are awesome, but you have to put them in a surrounding and think about what you can live with for a long time.Congrats on the new Unos, beautiful color horn choice as well!
The laters measuments in my room with a calibrated mic. Still learning how to use REW.
Will do! Thanks for the tip!Ok, thanks. Can you make the scale 5db rather than 20db by pressing + on the vertical axis, this does not show much. Also you can click 20-20000 on the right side for setting the horizontal axis to show 20hz to 20khz. Then you can click capture on top and have a better image of this measurement. I attach a photo showing you where to click for each one:
