my techs answer:
316 and 317 are technically the same, except hardness: they both have same inductivity of 200 mH and same R (must check what exactly was the R).
The longer life of 317 comes at the cost of somewhat less linear frequency response / quality relative to 316. this tradeoff was improved on the 318 series.
