Sorry, but you are so wrong. How do I know? Well, I owned owned one and am a friend of the then US Graaf importer Gary Kay. I sold it for a Chapter Audio amp.

Edit: my apoligies microstrip, it is a hybrid OTL.

No problem - you were a victim of ambiguous advertisement. It is ridiculous to call an audio step down transformer of transmission line transformer to disguise that the amplifier really needed an output transformer. Not a typical tube transformer, but OTL should mean output transformerless - no exceptions!

McIntosh uses them in some of their solid state amplifiers and you can buy similar auto transformers to use with OTLs - it is the only way of using low impedance speakers wit many OTLs. See:
