Burmester 911 mk3

Hey Joe,

How is your system coming along? Any thoughts on GAT, Dart, Burmester as all your units start to fully burn in?

Hi Lloyd,

Everything is breaking in nicely. The CR-1's are smoothing out and opening up nicely. They are stunning. The GAT sounds superb on everything. The 911mk3's are absolutely awesome. I also love the Dartzeel with the GAT. I think dual Dartzeel 108's on the CR-1's would also sound great, especially with the GAT. I am sending in the CJ Premier 350 for a check up, just to make sure all is well and decide from ther what to do. I am kind of at a crossroads at the moment and need to pare down some gear. I have plans to sell the 077 and the Dartzeel and buy an MSB or Emm Labs dac. Keep your fingers crossed.

So you are keeping the GAT and the 911mk3 monos? And possibly the 350SA? Interesting...personally, that was the setup i was voting for. ;)

Joe -

Can you make any specific comments about CJ to 911s via the Interocitor vs without the Interocitor?

I think we are on the same wavelength :) I can't wait to get home and play my system, and I hate to turn it off and stop listening when I have to leave.

we are DEFINITELY on the same wavelength...every nite, i stand in front of the Gryphon when i am getting ready to turn it off...and i always hesitate to listen to just a few more moments...its on in the morning, when i get home from work, and all weekend long whenever i am in the house.

Lloyd,

We sound like twins. I am the same way. I am glad you are getting just as much enjoyment from your system as I am.

Joe/Lloyd,

I think all 3 of us are going through the same phase, powering on our systems at the slightest opportunity. The only difference is that I've got a lesser system. My wishes now are to own the Genesis 1.2 (The Magnificent Ones as Gary calls them) and the Davinci Gabriel TT.

I am glad you are happy as well. It's nice to have a goal ;) Good music is great for the soul.

I hardly think of your system as lesser!! You've got truly SOTA!

Lloyd, you are just being nice and generous in your comments on my system. While it's good, it certainly is not SOTA. In fact, far from it. I still have a long way to go.

Well, Thf99, if you are planning to have a 'long way to go' from where you already are...i really look forward to knowing about your system when you consider yourself at the SOTA!!!

Finally, here they are as promised.
