Awesome set up! Imho THE most realistic sound AND music at the show. I visited three times and there was no audiophile dreck playing... Kudos

I had a good time. I didn't get to walk around at all. I did attend a few after hours events. I meet some interesting engineer and scientist. I learned a bit about RF while there.

I also meet a few members while there. AlRainbow and our moderator SCAudiophile. Both people I have spoken with on the phone and emailed with on a close basis. It was so nice to put a face to the voices. That made the trip worthwhile for me.

thank you so much. We had a lot of great comments and return visitors.

The following are some mediocre (at best) photos from my quick excursion to the Capital Audio Fest this past weekend. There are quite a few rooms that were missed or that I saw sans phone. This is no comment on their sound, just happenstance. Let's start with High Water Sound. As usual Jeffrey had great sound.

Gestalt Audo...Wolf Von Longa (proponents of field coils) showing their 2 way. This was a top room for Gary Leeds. Amplification is by Tron with a current based phono stage from Konus Audio.

A largely British room with Trilogy and Kerr Acoustics.

Marten Speakers powered by a Gryphon integrated amplifier. It was very nice.

But wait, there's more. Here's the Tidal room with Vinni Rossi amplification. If you wondered if Vinni's new line would work well with Tidal speakers, you don't have to wonder any longer...they do!! Doug nails another room.20221112_155134.jpg

Arion Audio. 105db sensitive open baffle arrays. Very nice fellow running the room and company. 300B's powering things. This is a huge room which is hard to get right. They did a nice job of coping with it.

Linkwitz... 4 or 5 channels of amplification, no DSP. Had some tech issues when I was there, but ultimately
impressive sound once it got rolling. Had a visual design that only a mother or collector of action figures could love. I'd look for this tech to pop up again. Lyn Stanley was my date in this room. (and by that I mean that she had her back to me awaiting her album to be played...it didn't happen-analog glitch.) We did end up chatting about her newly released album which from her description has some worthy engineering traits. (different for albums and SACD's and digital...so 3 masters) Made me curious to hear the big band on the album. Some of the cats on that side had been part of Eclipse. I had ironed shirts and gotten coffee for their founder when I was a kid. His early bebop work was simply historic. Too bad so few people have heard it. 20221113_121528.jpg

siegfried linkwitz born in my place of residence, a pioneer in loudspeaker and dipole construction unfortunately passed away 4 years ago. he helped me enormously to build my dipole with the help of his calculations and formulas. too bad a very big one is gone.
heard his active system great love the sound
