Cardas 4 X 24 DIY Headphone Cable

I'm presently using a diy Mogami 2534 headphone cable with my Hifiman Edition X headphones. I'm considering making a new cable using Cardas 4 x 24 cable but the cost of this wire, $17 per foot, is making me think twice about it. I'm not at all unhappy with the Mogami cable, I've just got the dreaded itch to try something different. I've read good and indifferent reviews about the Cardas vs Mogami wire. Has anyone here tried both of these? Would switching to the Cardas wire just be an expensive sideways move? I need a 12' to 15' length so it won't be inexpensive to use the Cardas.

You are happy with the mogami. Stay there unless you can demo other cables. It’s a rabbit hole of trade offs.

I'm aware of this. Some love the Cardas wire, some want their money back. One thing most had in common is they were almost all using Mogami.
I can't demo anything in my area unless Best Buy sells it....LOL!
