Coronavirus ...

Growing up in Southern California (Orange County & Los Angeles area) and being a teenager in the 70's & 80's, trust me I was scared shitless when Aids virus was just getting going in the US. It was every moment of every day thoughts for long time.
Educated myself best I could with all the non-information out there, made smart decisions and choices and had to move on. My main decision was staying with and marrying (to this day) my high school sweetheart so that took a lot off the plate. But for years nobody would hardly touch anyone or people would freak out if someone coughed near them, all kinds of physical assaults going on in the news for a long long time.
Because of that if I found myself on the dating scene one day, don't know what I would do.

Marc, it all sounds good on a theoretical plane, but once you see your own mother/father or grandmother/grandfather dying from
something that could have been
avoided or postponed your perspective probably changes.
The Italiens are surely regretting
not acting earlier. If i could save my
mother or father by giving up
a year of income, i would not
hesitate !
Lagonda, I'm neither actively in favour of it, or not in favour. If Boris has called it right, he reinforces himself as a "wartime" leader. He of course idolises Winston Churchill and Maggie Thatcher.

If he gets this wrong...

It means that virology has seen a lot less development and investments in recent years than the science of global warming. Time to re-examine priorities perhaps. Corona stealing Greta's crown.
We're due a warm spell next week in the UK. Bring it on!

Be careful no-one attacks you with a banana while in that restroom Marc otherwise #MorePtsdAndAssociatedTherapy
I've always been an open minded fella. I mean, I finally accepted digital.

I've read that too Steve; I think it's because China is safe now.
You seriously think China is safe now ? That’s a large country where part of
it has been isolated. Other parts are not immune or safe .
More likely they can not afford to lose more business and need to send
a positive signal.

Their numbers are way way way down now; Chinese people are shopping for iPhones and Mac computers and Apple tablets.
Why should Apple close their stores in China? Their economy will rebound...thanks to Apple among others.
And if Apple's sales in China helps the Chinese economy it also helps the global economy.
These are good positive signs for better things to come ... No? Yes?

You gotta think positive in the worst of times ...
Time for Apple to lead and for Microsoft to get their act together.

"We will be closing all of our retail stores outside of Greater China until March 27,” Apple CEO Tim Cook wrote in a letter https://apple.co/2w768jZ posted on the company’s website late on Friday.

Apple reopened all 42 of its branded stores in China on Friday as the number of new cases fell in the country where the coronavirus outbreak originated."
