I saw on a forum and another enthusiasts YouTube video that Roy Gregory was floating it out that Dartzeel is in the process of ceasing operations? If true, such a shame. I don't own any Dartzeel products but I was always super impressed when I got to hear systems with Dartzeel in them. Hope this is not true.
Clearly they are out of business.. why else would you stop selling ( if they sold anything at all the last months/year)
I heard they have to pay the Swiss government substantial sums ( COVID support money ) and they can’t pay it… so I guess that’s why they launched those 1M cartridges.. probably didn’t sell any of those either…
I have an 8550, so feel kinda bumped.. expensive brick when somethings breaks

They are NOT out of business. I spoke with Herve directly. And the website [which you clearly haven’t read, nor clicked the links above] clearly states that all existing instruments will continue to be serviced and taken care of. He will be back with a new product line.
“Dear members of the darTZeel family, music lovers around the world, I’ve chosen to venture into new territories in the audio field and dedicate time to shaping the future of High-End audio. The fortunate owners of darTZeel instruments who wish to upgrade and maintain their listening systems will always be welcomed with the same passion and the same quality of service.”

Ked, I posted this reagrding the Swiss Covid program on the other thread on this topic
Per Baker & Mckenzie's outline on the Swiss Covid Loan Program
Two types of loans are available under the
Swiss COVID-19 loan programme: COVID-
light loans with a principal amount of up to
CHF500,000 and COVID-plus loans with a
principal amount of up to CHF20m, in each
case capped at an amount equal to 10% of the
applicant’s annual turnover. Both types of loans
are provided via the Swiss banking system and
secured by sureties of the Swiss Confederation.
Each loan has a term of five years, which may
be extended by up to two years if repayment
at the original maturity date would result in
considerable hardship for the borrower.

If it’s a lie, ok, then yes I understand. But I’m afraid it’s not. You just don’t take your own website down.
The post Herve made is also disingenuous and laughable.

No website is not down, they are just not making product at this time ! In the future some time they will launch a less expensive line to save the day. And the trouble is all the fault of bad pricing structures in the high-end business. Lead by Dartz by the way. Do you hear those bells in the background, those are alarm bells going off ! I doubt anyone, including die hard dart fans are placing orders right now.
When the US dealer/distributor is charging ~50% more than the RoW pricing, that’s a problem. I bet this contributed to the reduced sales.
Buyers are also to blame. Always compare pricing across regions! And don’t take dealer BS about “US duties” as a reason for higher prices. There are NO US duties for audio components made in Europe.
