I am running Darius' SUT on my regular DaVa, plugged into an AS Phonolab MM 47K setting. It was immediately hugely better--extension, overall purity, dynamics, listener involvement, more lifelike vocals, broader soundstage, etc. Pretty much a knock-out.

Only problem was some hum, but so had to run a ground wire from grounding screw on SUT to AS Phonolab grounding screw. That cured most of it.

I also use a Puritan conditioner and ground box (connected to grounding rod in back garden), so also ran a wire from AS Phonolab to Puritan ground box…now only a wee bit of hum with ear to speaker with volume up and no hum or noise from 1 meter out…

How the voltage changes in standard psu influence the sound? Is there a change in volume or rather space, details, bass etc. Has anyone tested this ?

slightly higher output with increased voltage
also change in dynamics and slam, but will be a balancing act towards harmonics/tone
higher dc also increases cart body temp which should not exceed 45c or so....headshell material might have influence on heat dissepation, so alu og magnesium will help keep temp down as opposed to
wood or carbon....

Has anyone tested Lithuanian phono stage called Rada? Darius recommended it to me last time. I’m testing now Valkyrie and it sounds really nice.
Hi Bart, all my system is made by RADA. It is a small artisan Lithuanian audio brand with unbelievable quality. As I know, You have advanced level Valkyrie C phono stage which is really good, especially for that amount of money. I own RADA Precious one phono stage which is the expert level RADA product and it is outstanding. That's why Darius has recommended You RADA. I am using this phono stage with Dava FC-A1 and Rada field coil PSU with voltage regulator (you can choose the voltage real time by rotating the knob). The Precious one phono has enormous scene space, detailed, however warm and smooth sound, great dynamics and punch. It is the best phono stage I have ever listened and if You like Valkyrie C phono stage Precious one will blow your mind :D I had an opportunity to compare my phono stage with various other phono stages (price interval 1000 - 12 000 Euro) and it is a game ender. I think this is my last phono stage I own, I am really happy with it and I can sincerely recommend it to anyone who is searching for exceptional vinyl sound quality, the same I could tell about DaVa FC-A1 and Reference. I also would like to mention that Rada Precious one series is limited edition because of the components that are used inside it, so you shouldn't wait for too long

Hi. Thank you for the reply. You own Precious One or One+ ?

Two brand new members discussing a unknown super rare product with a desperate need of marketing, from a tiny producer ! You just have to love the internet !;)

This is not a issue of marketing, just recommendation from Darius. I suppose that you are currently the owner of his product ;)

I was just wondering if any body else is using Rada products. And this is everything about conspiracy theories ;)

No, i stay away from little one man operations in Eastern European Countries ! :) Good luck with your advertising campaign !;)

a lot of outstanding products have a one man history, even from eastern Europe ;)
No doubt, and i am sure they sound excellent, a few people i respect, including you and Bill swear by them Leif. :) I personally like somewhat older companies when i purchase any expensive product.

So are you trying to say that products from big manufacturers from Western European Countries are better? You might be really surprised ;) But if you prefer the theory the more expensive the best…..

Milan, you have no idea. Rarely have I loved a cart as much as the DaVa when I heard it at Bill's. In my humble opinion, it easily shades his Red Sparrow in the areas which really matter. It kinda reminds me of my long-departed and much-missed Lyra Parnassus from 15 years ago, similar presentation of lush texture and organic timbre/tone.

Marc, i am sure they are great sounding and you love anything rare, you always root for the underdog ! ;) I am just not a big chance taker these days, longevity and larger market penetration are positive buying arguments for me.
