DaVa FC-A1 a field coil contender

Another dumb remark...
I´ve paid for 3 carts, 2 custom SUTs and a Rowland Complement service and 2 Lumieres service
who need a discount when the price is fair to start with
I started this thread because I thought it would interest someone that a product at this price level can fight and even beat some in the big league

Glad you have started

I think Milan is still pissed off he can't swing to MBL X-tremes. It would do my head in as well.

I am just messing with you Leif ! :) I know you are a paying customer. And in all fairness, dumb remarks are my trademark !

He would be better off asking Leif to build him some horns and sets

I would not dare, at this point Leif would leave a little something behind for me from the stable, inside the horns !

I will stick too my "poor boy" MBL's in my main listening room Marc , maybe horns in the 12 meter room above my garage at some point !:) Just to try it out.

Not tried it yet but was threatening to before Xmas before beer, wine and festivities took over as my main priorities lol. It is in the plan to try though.
Do it ,easy to build accu pack 12dc,buffer caps 10000?f ,fuses, switch 2poles , poti and digital voltage display.housing a old cigar box;) under 100€.a connection socket for charging, and one for the fieldcoil cart

12v is on the high side. 9x1,2cells better to avoid too hot cartridge body temp

if i found a home for my big towers i might be into that. not complaining, just dreaming.
according to Bonzo you´ve got no reason to do a U-turn like that
It´ll throw you into deep DIY territory; no commercial solution, maybe apart from Living Voice Olympian, that could satisfy your needs

it is better to regulate the voltage down with accu, with a potentiometer. you can set the voltage very well with the display. fieldcoil prefer to start and slowly increase the voltage

Hi Stephan,

Excuse the ignorance of this question. The bit I don’t get. If you turn the switch to charge then your fuse will be rated for the incoming AC say 3 amps max. But when you flick the switch to supply the dc, this same fuse is in circuit - will that not be pointless cos you need a much lower fuse on the dc side? Therefore you need a 2nd fuse say post the last 2200uf cap?
