Hi there - how many are here have moved onto T+ from T ?
Technical and engineering aside - audio-wise - is there a "real difference that can be called improvement please ? Do share ....
Hi Guys,
I just wanted to start this thread to engage fellow music lovers who are using Denafrips range of products. Personally I am using the Terminator DAC and the newly released DDC Gaia (though its out on loan now). As of late they have released an excellent range of products which are well engineered and sound good too.
I had the oppurtunity to listen to their newly released Terminator Plus, and I must say, it is another hit from them. Please share your impressions. Thank you guys.
Here is a link to their website and honest reviews from users. https://www.denafrips.com/news
Do feel free to post some nice photos of your setup as well. Cheers and please stay safe all.
They are waiting for the Avatar cdt.
Hi Blake,
This is for the TP/Gaia combo external clock setup.

@Blake Do you need to add something to Gaia + Qutest after additional burn in?
Also I'm looking forward to read your comparison between Gaia with Qutest to Gaia with the Terminator Plus.
Can you please post a photo and a link from where you bought Kimber D60 cable?
@Blake Also I'm looking forward to read your comparison between Gaia with Qutest to Gaia with the Terminator Plus.
Thanks Raj! You correctly sensed a disturbance in the Force Yes, I did get stuck on setting up the clock sync between TPlus and Gaia. Alvin sent a couple videos that helped, but the biggest tip is this:
Press the "-INPUT" button momentarily multiple times. You will see the LED light up in the following sequence as you press/release the "-INPUT" button
The information above is not currently in the Gaia or TPlus Owner's Manuals, but Alvin will update that.
- COAX (No output)
- AES1 (44.1K/48K)
- AES2 (24/25Mhz)
- OPT (45/49Mhz)
- I2S-A (Clock out disable, note that CLOCK LED will be off too)
So, the key was knowing that for the 45/49 required setting for a Gaia/TPlus combo is to have "OPT" light on. Also, there is a bit of a delay once OPT is on and Clock light is on while the clocks sync, and then automatically the OPT light goes off and your previously chosen INPUT light goes on.
Finally, one other very important item that is not currently depicted correctly in the Owner's Manual and 6Moons preview is that 45/49 clock outputs (TPlus) and 45/49 clock inputs (Gaia) are reversed on each unit. The clock sync illustration example in the Owner's Manual is being fixed because it gives the impression they are the same on both units. Bottom line- look at the label on the input/output of your Gaia/TPlus and hook your clock cables up accordingly!
Nice review Blake. Awaiting your detailed report for the TP/Gaia combo now.I just posted my review on audiophilestyle:

Blake, an indepth comparison would be much appreciated. As I noticed too with the Iris DDC, with the TP clocking it, the sound just went a few notches up. It's become so addictive now that I have to inject myself with music at least twice a day. I am listening to my music collection all over again. I especially love vocals now and live recordings, they play right into the hands of the TP with the Iris in tow. Is that Eva Cassidy calling? Cheers. Also, while my TPlus is burning in, just like with the Gaia, I had a "wow" moment when it was first turned on. Just a few hours ago I connected and synced the clocks between the Gaia and TPlus. And again, I am in disbelief that the improvements are so large.
Thanks, Blake. Looking forward to yours as well. I take it early impressions of the D60 are positive?Hey John, I enjoyed reading your impressions. Nice setup as well!
