LVCMOS
- Usually via RJ45 connector (I2S-C for the case of Terminator/Plus)
- Native/Raw I2S signal from the DSP (CPLD/FPGA, varies between manufacturers)
- Sensitive to noise and cable quality & length
- Required a very-short RJ45 cable interconnect <= 5-30cm
LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling)
- Usually via HDMI connector (I2S-A & I2S-B for the case of Terminator/Plus)
- Realized by Texas Instrument DS90LV047A Line Driver / DS90LV048A Line Receiver
- Excellent drive & immunity to external noise
