Destination Audio's Malta (Listening Bar) Horn Loudspeaker System

Thank you Gary, you beat me to the answer.about Fred
The Malta is a custom design in house project. It is a system that will have to be designed in the customers home and would vary by home and space. There will never be a Malta ready ship speaker available. In order for it to perform correctly this is the only way.
I have spoken to Sam at length about them and starting price on the project you’re looking at somewhere around $750,000
Always a pleasure Darren to support a great artisanal firm like Destination. Glad you are getting the word out and driving things forward in the US.

LL21, I am sorry to report Fred is no longer representing Destination Audio in the US. The new brand agent is Darren at Audio Limits in Laughlin, NV. The website for DA USA is https://destinationaudiousa.com/.

As far as I know, the Malta was planned but never produced, but I see it listed on the website, so there is hope. I can say the Vista was perhaps the essence of one of the finest speakers I have heard, powered by the DA GM-70 integrated and a lowly Mac Mini hard drive Sam brought with him to the US to make some updates.

Thank you both! Good to know about new leadership. There is something about how Destination articulates its commitment to sheer purity, quality that I like.

I am intrigued by the Malta naturally...enormous price and an enormous speaker.

But I am particularly intrigued by the DAC...2 separate D/A designs inside one DAC...one for PCM and one for DSD. Good start I suspect and again consistent with a commitment to utter purity and faithfulness in design (to PCM or DSD).

I have seen it a few times on the website, and then for some reason it did not appear again earlier today. Is it no longer being made?
