Harry Potter dynasty Ron. I have the complete series on Blu...last two ones in 3D...but their 3D transfers were simply too dark. ...Part I and II of the last film.

Haven't viewed them in while, certainly the first six. So I thought, in seq, would be a good idea. Hallows I & II next.
It is a great idea, and I recorded it. ...Meaning that I will do a marathon one day as well...Harry Potter...the entire saga.

On Sunday night, we wanted an entertaining movie but without taxing the brain too much. We watched 'World War Z' with Brad Pitt.
Despite being unoriginal and obviously riding the wave of The Walking Dead's success, the movie was still entertaining and had a couple of scary moments.

I'm watching Downton Abbey right now...just LOVE it!! Pity that season six(6) is the last one.

It's the old wave...the relaxing island life while the music is playing in the background...classical. ...It's going to be a beautiful day tomorrow...another blue sky sunny day.
Here it's 19 and snowing. Classical is also playing. No sun tomorrow. Still cold and with snow forecasted plus it's primary day. No cigar here either, stopped smoking anything 35yrs ago. Sipping on some hooch, though. Rye.

Weather here: 30 and sunny. We live in the sticks so our night sky is not comprimised with city lights or pollution. Black black black with stars that are crystal clear. God is awesome !!!

Nice to live near the forests and jungles away from the light and sound distortion...better relaxation for the eyes, ears and soul of a man.

Last night I watched 'Spectre' on Blu (comes only in 2D).
It's my least favorite Daniel Craig's double 07 Bond's flicks (the 4th).
The picture is pretty, Monica is pretty, the sound is immersive (but not in DTS:X only in DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1), very.
Technically it's a high production value film, subjectively/objectively/emotionally/artistically/creatively/entertainingly, script/story/acting conveyance it's missing some essential Bond's elements, and the ones that are there are incomplete, very.
The humor is not there, the stunts are more funny than the lines delivery, and the bad guys aren't menacing but inviting and charming.
? It's a less than stellar Bond's entry. Overall (film only): 66 (borderline) ...No diamond ring here.
The technical elements even @ their high level cannot lift the film higher than where it is, c'est la vie.
Last line: Give it a spin, and if like me you are a "serious" 007 Bond's fan...you'll add it in your Bond's BR collection, still

* Speaking of DTS:X new 3D audio immersion...it's just funny this business happening right now. ...Unfortunate, sad, has its ups, ...& hope the future looks brighter.
I'm in no rush jumping in till the sky above is multicolored and well separated in multitude of objects. My two-channel stereo music listening and up-mixed needs to be clean and distortion-free as well.
<> Chuck, if you want to share your thoughts so far on DTS:X please do, I value your opinion. We are both motivated by a similar immersive sound passion. Nobody can't take that away from us.

The picture follows a very deeply unsettling trend ever since probably Fincher's Se7en, where making monochrome scenes with filters became hip/arty.
I find this utterly lame.
I refused to watch a movie like that in the cinema. Therefore, I refused to go watch SPECTRE on the big screen.
We watched it a couple of weeks ago, and I thought the plot was really formulaic (a piece of criticism you sure could lob at any JB movie, but this one particularly so).
Casino Royale was great, and technically, SPECTRE is a fourth installment which is supposed to properly cap off the four Craig movies, as the organisation's tentacular nature and Blofeld's status of ultimate villain is supposed to be realised.
Unfortunately, it falls flat and you can perceive the formula very fast from the early scene with Belucci (who barely is there for 10 minutes, actually less).
Much more bothersome are the pictures: all yellow, all brown, all green-blue, all gray-blue, etc...
Not Blu-Ray but NetFlix, we watched Star Trek - Into Darkness, especially because when you go to 'My List', when the thing works, you can see which movies or shows are going to disappear from Netflix soon.
Both the first reboot and this second one show a weirdly un-manly Capt. Kirk. He just looks and acts like a degen teen, really.
The second half of the movie shows some great story development and especially, brillliant, brilliant acting from Benedict Cumberbatch.
It's worth watching just for him.

I watch casino Royale again the other day, it reminds me of the early bonds. Great film without needing the bond franchise to validate it. It one of my favourites and was really looking forward to bond movies again, a bit like after seeing goldeneye. Though goldeneye is no casino Royal imo.
Sadly the rest of te Daniel Craig efforts are crap, total crap. Like lots of little flashy adverts loosely strung together, I don't care about any one or anything. It's not Craig's fault, I think he plays the role well but the writing is crap.
Total waste, I gave up on them two movies ago.

Yeah, 'Casino Royale' ... best of the Craig's four. ...Then 'Skyfall' ... with Adele's song opening, and I liked that flick too.
