Just received the latest First Watt SIT 5 monos. Right out of the box they are simply far more musical than the XA60.8 they replaced. Another Nelson Pass masterpiece...

Very much real, they had them on demo at Capital Audiofest in November. Back to the original SIT-1 dual mono with the recent batch of Tokin transitor used in the SIT-4. In mono bloc configuration the SIT-5 will output 40 Watts vs the SiT-4 5 Watts

I really wish he would make these in balanced configuration.

Well????? What do you think?

Enough power to drive Alexia 2?
Plenty. 80-wpc into 4 ohms is a lot of power for a 90+ db efficient speaker. Believe it or not, even 5-wpc from the SIT-4 is enough for most of the music I play.

Can you tell us more? What other amps can you compare them too. Do you have any tube SIT?

Do they put out a lot of heat?

Ok, I brought pair home to try :)
