If you drive over 70 for distance, with the AC on, you lose range faster.
Based on your actual driving experience, approximately what is your range, driving with the air conditioning on continuously, cruising at over 70 mph?
(Just purely curious.)

About 280. At 75 probably 270 or so.
I heard about baby wipes and agree. The key is not to use a petroleum based product. FEIW I’ve owned the car since April and the seats are like the day I drive it off the lot.Gee, it is amazing how accurate my M3 is when I navigate to an unfamiliar place both in terms of time and the state of charge I arrive with. Fraud my ass. If you drive over 70 for distance, with the AC on, you lose range faster. Same as an ICE car. same with very cold weather. If you preheat the battery though, you help mitigate that. These are all things any BEV driver knows or should know. Just because someone sues means nothing to me. I am a retired trial lawyer. All sorts of litigation are started with bad intentions.
BTW Steve, use Un scented baby wipes to clean the white seats. I keep a pack in the car .people who see my M3 seats are shocked to learn the car is 5 years old.
Ron. Put your car next to mine and give yours all the vroom you want for almost $6.00/gallon and I will leave you so far behind so quickly that it will give you pause to reflect. The instant torque is nothing like the gradual acceleration with an ICE. The speed means nothing to me According to the Tesla app my wife and I have saved almost $1000 in gas in both our cars. Plus I have no electric bill each month. Vroom means nothing Ron when you try to compete against an EV. all be smiling at the waiting line finishing a soft drink waiting for you to finish.
I loved mine as well Ron but living in California there is such a state incentive to go EV. I got a $7500 investment tax credit from the Fed and a $2000 check from the State. Vroom for me, with the cost of gas in California being the highest in the nation, quickly became meaningless.I loved your SL55!!!
(I still love my SL550.)
When I drive to DC, my “fuel” costs me all of $20.00.
I drive on average 600 miles a week in a diesel car, if i get passed on the freeway by a EV, they normally pussy out inside the next 10 km because they may not make it home driving 150 km/h, but with the docile speeds you drive in the US it might work for you !Ron. Right now gas is $4.00 a gallon here. Not CA but still high. The average horsepower of our four cars is 390hp. So our gasoline bills in Los Angeles are very high!
Maybe in Germany on the Autobahn which I have done, but driving over 90mph on many American roads is a recipe for disaster. Your “pussy out” may just be cautiousness.I drive on average 600 miles a week in a diesel car, if i get passed on the freeway by a EV, they normally pussy out inside the next 10 km because they may not make it home driving 150 km/h, but with the docile speeds you drive in the US it might work for you !
Always EV's, other diesel and petrol cars put up more of a fight !Maybe in Germany on the Autobahn which I have done, but driving over 90mph on many American roads is a recipe for disaster. Your “pussy out” may just be cautiousness.
I don't think it's fraud. It's wishful thinking. I recall I think, the Ford Mustang measuring way below it's' claimed specs. There are always sufficient disclaimers. Moreover, a professional driver over a closed course, probably could match the specs.Gee, it is amazing how accurate my M3 is when I navigate to an unfamiliar place both in terms of time and the state of charge I arrive with. Motorbikes are great unless you get hit by a car or truck.
