Good Day!

I am selling my Esoteric P-02 and D-02 transport and DAC. I am the original owner and they were registered in Spring 2016, I can provide photos of the registration certificates received back from Esoteric for any serious buyer before purchase. Photos on the ad were taken yesterday; these units are up and running perfectly and sounding great in my rig.

These units sound amazing and only reason to sell is move to Grandioso or the X version of each. They excel at CD and SACD playback with dual-AES/EBU as well as up to 24/192 async USB input!

Original Esoteric triple-box setups for both with all cradles, and all original accessories as received with the units new are included; I have them in protected storage and will gladly retrieve them and take photos of all for any serious buyer.

The P-02 was purchased in January 2015 from Japan and it's S/N plate states it is a 100v unit. ***This generation of P/D units featured a board inside right after the IEC input connector that allows you to set a jumper to select 100v, 120v or 220/240v so they can be used in any geography due to their multi-tap transformers and this Esoteric OEM board inside the unit. I have used it strapped for US power for 1.5 years with perfect playback.

The D-02 was purchased shortly thereafter from a US Dealer; it's S/N plate lists it as a US power original config unit. See note above.

Given when I registered them new, there is warranty left over.

Price when new: $23,500 each as of January 2015 Esoteric Pricing.

Pricing Option-1: P02/D02 together, $17,000 OBRO for the pair, buyer pays shipping

Pricing Option-2: P02/D02 together $19,000 OBRO with (2) KS ELATION AES/EDU 1-meter cables, buyer pays shipping.
KS ELATIONS are retail priced above $3,000 each.

Either option is about < 38% of retail; you won't find this deal and this level of a config "ready to go", fully broken in, with warranty left, anywhere.

Terms of Payment: Cash/Certified Check (with ID and settlement time) or Wire Transfer, shipment to occur after settlement
is confirmed final by Bank of America.

Shipping: To be arranged and paid for by Buyer so that you can choose how best to protect/ship these units.
I will work with you to ensure your shipper gets the units professionally packed and in good order.

I have 12 years and 133/133 perfect feedback elsewhere. If you are interested, let me know and we can
communicate about this on PM and/or phone for your peace of mind.

Pricing option 2 above allows you to enjoy them as I have for years with a pair of truly SOTA AES/EBU cables.

PM me for any offers; send questions here or via phone & PM as best suits you.

See photos included below; these units are up and running in my setup.

"OBRO" == "Or Best REASONABLE Offer"

Bump...price change in ad text above!

Bump...

Bump...probably the last price change; I don't have to sell these and if it weren't for the "X" to have native DSD and multiples of DSD streaming on the USB input,
I probably would not have thought about this and would be holding on until a Grandioso system could hit my door.

Please send any questions here so that I can answer them on the public thread; these are amazing units (and AES cables if you prefer that option)!

May I ask what the unit on top of the P-02 in the first photo is?

Good Morning! It's a Cybershaft (Japan) pro-level 10 Mhz master clock. Dual power supplies and dual clock sections/10 Mhz outputs.
One side is a high-quality Rubidium oscillator circuit comparable to much more expense single-box solutions out there and the other
side is an ultra-premium, ultra low phase noise OCXO oven-stablized circuit. Very reasonable price too and frankly competes with
alot more expensive and harder to find options (around $2K for this unit). If you search on 'Cybershaft' and 'OCXO' you'll find
other posts where I talk about my experience with it in more detail. Requires 50-ohm cabling into Esoteric and other gear's
10Mhz inputs but they say you can also use 75-ohm (or 75-ohm with 75:50ohm adapters).

IMHO: Cybershaft is the dark horse candidate in this market that we've not heard about; turns out they spend all their time producing products for years
now for the pro studio audio, video, and broadcast markets in Asia and a lot of audiophiles from Japan and Asia in general.

Bump...

Anybody tried it with DCS?

I'll have to search here and one other forum; I think someone did recently but I cannot remember where I read that.

I do know someone very well up in BC/Canada who has an Ultra Premium upper-model OCXO-only Cybershaft on an Antelope DAC + uber Antelope power supply setup and he loves it!

Have client meetings tonight for a couple hours; will look as soon as possible. If you don't hear from me by morning, please ping me on this here or via Private Message.

Thanks Zephyr.
Would be interested to know but not a problem if you can't find it without too much effort.

It was right in front of me on a thread that you can find be doing a search on "Cybershaft" here on WBF;

Thanks, I just need one from OP15 to Vivaldi masterclock. I have 4 Transparent XL bnc cable from Masterclock to Upsampler and DAC, for 44.1 and 48khz. I'll try one of them in the OP-Masterclock conection after break in time.

Thanks Zephyr.
Looks interesting and will follow the further posts.
I have a Scarlatti clock on my Puccini hence the interest

Assuming that supports a 10Mhz input for master clocking, you should enjoy great results with one of Cybershaft's Ultra Premium model OCXO units! Let us know how it works out!

Good Day!

***Alot of people are going for one box units (K-01, K-01X, etc…); they are great units. The Esoteric 2 and 3 box setups push the envelope further and are definitely the way to go!

These units sound amazing and only reason to sell is move to Grandioso or the X version of each. They excel at CD, XRCD, and SACD playback with dual-AES/EBU, S/PIDF (RCA) and possess a great streaming input capability (to the DAC) with up to 24/192 async USB input!

A friend of mine just bought one for his Vivaldi stack (which includes the Vivaldi clock). He loves it !

Why another clock when he already has the Vivaldi clock ? How does that help ?
