As we all know there is a lot of history behind Godzilla; the first appearance (1954), the name ...
"Gojira (???) is a portmanteau of the Japanese words: gorira (???, "gorilla") and kujira (????, "whale"), which is fitting because in one planning stage, Godzilla was described as "a cross between a gorilla and a whale", alluding to its size, power and aquatic origin."
cultural impact and inspiration ...
"Steven Spielberg cited Godzilla as an inspiration for Jurassic Park (1993), specifically Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956), which he grew up watching. Spielberg described Godzilla as "the most masterful of all the dinosaur movies because it made you believe it was really happening." Godzilla also influenced the Spielberg film Jaws (1995)."
_____
It is fascinating how many people were fascinated with the character and sued over for using it.
I don't know how good this one is going to be in comparison to the previous one.
Nonetheless Godzilla is a big attraction for many around the world and they'll be watching this latest.
Saw this one, my wife said it's like a cartoon, I said it is from a cartoon. My son loved it, even the story line. I just whiled out the time to finish with them. Next year I heard Godzilla will battle King Kong.
* Gutzilla versus Kink Konk ... I'm all in. Kong should make breakfast from Dzilla.
The King versus God. Lol, only @ the movies. Movie magic (high octane entertainment).
