Hello from Charlotte, NC!

Welcome Another Charlotte boy!!

Tim

Welcome from a Northern boy!

John

OK, so my wife's uncle used to have a cabin the Smokey Mountains in NC and we used to go and stay all the time. Now I live in Seattle. Can I still pretend I live near NC and welcome you as a "boy" like the others did? :D

Welcome regardless :).

LOL! (no post-wh0ring intended), but that was funny Tim!

John

Thanks for welcome.

I'm acutally from northern NJ (10 min from NYC). So not really a southern boy but I really like it down here.

When I first moved down, I had a co-worker ask me if I was a good or bad yankee. I must have looked at him like he was from Mars (which I thought he was). He said, "good ones leave and bad ones stay".

I'm originally from central Illinois, but I've been here since 1979, so I guess you could say I like it.

We lived in Charlotte near Pineville for about 15 years...before then I was single - lived and went to school in Raliegh and Durham. So, you can say that I had spent most of my impressionable years of my life in NC. Both of our kids are Presbyterian Hospital babies...

Are there any highend shops left in Charlotte?

While working in Charlotte, most of my co-workers were very Southern and used to say that they were teenagers before learning damn yankee was two separate words.

Yeah there are a couple of high-end shops left here, even one new one - Audio Advice. They have Wilson, Martin-Logan, Magnepan, B&W, Revel, Mac, Bryston, Mark Levinson...good stuff.

Hi Tim

As I recall, Audio Advice had store(s) in Raleigh area. I believe it was at the Audio Advice where I blew most of my first paycheck on a GAS Ampzillia...
