I was in such a happy place as I was listening to an audiophile pressing from the original analogue master tapes of one of my favourite LP's, only to wake up and be completely disappointed that this will never happen. The album is too obscure for most and only really enjoyed success in Quebec and France.

I really dislike dreams at times!

I have a recurrent dream of being at a large vintage audio store with all those jewels there showing behind a glass, I have never had the chance to grab one home...a real nightmare :)

The album and band is:

Fiori-Seguin - Deux Cents Nuits a l'heure

Serge Fiori was one of the founders of Harmonium and when they disbanded he teamed up with Richard Seguin who had a strong following in Quebec with his twin-sister and their band Les Seguin. It's unfortunate that because of where they are from it never saw a wide release. Being in French didn't help matters either as there was so much good music happening at the time that they didn't even register on the radar.

This album is so wonderfully produced and mastered it's a joy to listen to and I think an album that belongs in every audiophile's collection.

Will look into this on CD :) . I remember Harmonium by the way ...
This said why do you think the "audiophile" pressing will be any better than the current version? Many so-called "audiophile" pressings are no better than the original and often are worse ...

I know, but it was a dream. The original LP sounds really good and I agree....many of those are better than any reissue.
