Introducing Center Stage 2M

Two sets of 2m 1.5 coming soon.
One set for a Taiko extreme (delivered in 4 weeks, hopefully), one set for a Stromtank S2500 Quantum.
Stromtank will have to sit on the floor, oak parque, glued to hard floor.

No info about Stromtank reacting to footers or not to be found.
Taiko will have to sit on a wooden bench on a set of 2m 1.5.

Would you recommend adding a layer of hard material like slate or stone under center stage feet?

Thank you in advance for your input which could prevent lengthy experiments & some serious back ache:)

Cheers from Engadin

Hi engadin

Actually, you are good to go. No back ache necessary! :) As a side bar, I've been advised that CS2M will work very well under your Stromtank. Nothing needs to be added.

All the Best

Joe

Taiko sitting on a less than audiophile wooden bench with 2m 1.5?
Add a layer of slate or granite or just the wooden bench?

I use CS2M 1.5 under my Extreme. You're in for a treat

Thank you, sir!
Expectations are high, indeed:)
As far as I remember you use critical mass systems racks.

Would you recommend me to just the wooden shelve or add a layer of slate on top?

I do indeed

components for center stage feet are due to arrive in 4 weeks.
would you recommend “running them in” under other components right now or wait?

Actually, the feet require no "run in" in the way we normally use those words. The feet "settle" with the component you place them under.

Having said this, you could place them under any component you wish until your new component(s) come. Please know that there will be a settling process with the new component(s) when they are finally mated.

I have picked up a couple of used sets for sale from time to time.
Can you tell me why these 2 sets are different appearance?
Also the set without the patent markings protrude only about 1/32" higher.
The othe set seem to protrude about 1/8".
Thanks for any clarity on this!

They are not CS2M. They are the original CS2. When first released the patent was pending. During the product life the patent was granted. I suspect all you are seeing are cosmetic changes, and wear and tear changes over time in service having been sourced from different owners.

brodricj (above) may very well be correct. Did you receive shims with your purchase? Please let me know.....

Think he is correct - no problem.
No shims needed, thanks!

One question. In what country is the seller located?

Both sets I got used over a year ago, can't remember sellers.
No shims with either purchase.

Apologies if this has been addressed before, but I am using the 2M footers on a Quadraspire Reference Rack, which has slotted SVT shelves, on which the equipment sits.

I have tried to ensure that the footers are not placed over any of the slots, but does this matter?

I put the Stromtank from beginning on cms, I never compared.
Joe Lavrencik might comment.

Got it Joe, does it means that every single change we make in future take times to re-settle again? Such as tube, fuse or cables? Does it take another few weeks to find the equilibrium Or just a few days? I have a big question mark now and it’s quite challenging to loop this cycle again and again for the components change in future, I’m quite obsessed and always exchange the cables or accessories with my friends to test almost every month, just want to know your experience after the footers are fully settle down, and how’s going if we don’t touch the footers and the devices on top but make changes in other areas

Hey Bobofei86

Did your extended break-in with the CMS footers ever get resolved? Can you update please.
