Audio forum people don't read what they say on the Internet, they know better than that.
The MIT scientific community don't read what they say in audio forums, they know better than that.

LOL. But on the flip side - "don't question us!" - that always ends well. Some sciences (and their applications) are far more nailed-down than others.

The scientific community has very valid points in audio science. However they are not interested at all in an old sound format called stereo since long, they have better and more challenging things to do.

Currently high-end audio uses a lot of technology, but very little audio science. Unfortunately science is most of the time misrepresented in audio science, either by people who want to use it to audio swordplay or audio marketing.

It depends from where the scientists are from.
And I'm not talking just audio science, but also climate science.

Some stuff is more important than other. Like human health for example; biological science.
Our planet's health too, more important because it contributes to human health.
Audio science is only for entertainment, there's nothing serious and much important about that.
More than that is to invite our children to discover live classical music...IMHO.

But that article from that VOX link from Ked; I've read the main part...not its entirety.
It made me think of the people who build this world, us who all live on this planet.
Some are economically invested, others humanitarian invested, and the rest listen to music and watch movies to escape.

Climate change doesn't exist, it lives. It is reel but for some it's just an imagination.
Who's right and who's wrong? The scientists are certainly not wrong, and the rest they just listen to music...mono, stereo and multichannel.

It doesn't matter; a good job and a good paycheck does.
People don't care about the future, they care about now and having fun.
Not all, but I'd say the majority.
What's the good balance? Common sense that's what.

MIT, what do they know that non-scientists know? Lol, more than what we care to know.
Me personally I just go happy with the flow, nothing to worry about, I have faith in man and in all his accomplishments; good and lesser good to learn from and not repeat the same mistakes twice. ...A good job and a good paycheck; it pays the bills, the mortgage, the electricity, the telecom companies, and the meds from the doctor.

If our planet was more balanced and healthier and wealthier and less troubled by hurricanes and volcanoes and floods and fires and dryness and with more trees and vegetables and fruits and clean air and water there wouldn't be jobs and paychecks and children without food and water...there wouldn't be wars ever anymore, they're wouldn't be poverty.

Common sense is what we all use in audio forum, and the scientific community could use some of the readings in them. Listening to music is healthy for the mind and soul. A clean mind can do more to the global community's health than anything else in the universe. Audio science and engineering is the number one step to a better world.

We shouldn't believe all we read on the Internet.

Question: Am I smiling a little writing this? It's really not important, what is is what each person believe what's best for him/her and nobody else. There are no enemies, we create them, there are no love, we create it, there is no perfect world, we create it, there are no audio forums, we are it.

Am I still smiling? You betcha that I am, because I love music with a deep passion.
Without music audio science would be empty air.
