The Grid Protector, the EMI Protector and The Allocator By Schnerzinger-In My System and I’m Blown Away

Hi Kerry

Good to see another user of these devices finding the same thrill as the rest of us. Gideon will be at my house today and not only will we get the Multi Guards installed but with the Plural Evo loaners we will reset all of the Schnerzinger devices and likely once more when my own speakers ship net month

That’s my room

I finally got the Multiguards installed in my room with best sound employing
EARTH installed in adjacent socket where ALLOCATOR is plugged into left side wall

Both PHASE multiguards are plugged into adjacent sockets in front wall where left and right channels of my amplifier is plugged into

MASTER is plugged into AC outlet along right Mimi’s wall elevated to height of 40”

ROOM is placed in right rear corner

Master is position ll

GRID IS 1-2-1

EMI is 2-2-2

I have not used the DC battery packs

Visiting Schnerzinger / Zellaton today at Highe End in Munich I saw a new "Reflector" product. Does anybody know more about it?

here's a video which gives no further info

I just noticed that the Schnerzinger website has received a new design and new content about the Reflector. The Reflector appears to be the first unit with GIGA CANCELING PLUS+ technology, instead of the previous "GIGA CANCELING". You can obtain all available information directly from the new website, but I have copied two parts of the new information here:

GIGA CANCELING PLUS+

We have fundamentally enhanced the tried-and-tested GIGA CANCELING – with a technological quantum leap.

GIGA CANCELING PLUS+ now also covers an extended effective range in the two- and three-digit gigahertz range.

APPLICATION DETAILS

The REFLECTOR system protect the listening room from external and internal high-frequency electromagnetic interference fields.

The aim is to eliminate this electromagnetic interference before it reaches the hi-fi system. Potential sources of interference include radio waves, mobile phone masts, power lines in the vicinity and WLAN networks in neighboring apartments or houses. However, electrical applications in the home such as smartphones, DECT telephones, powerline adapters or microwaves can also cause such interference fields.

The REFLECTOR units also take care of internal sources of interference, for example from electrical components of the hi-fi system, routers or mobile devices in the room itself.

To effectively protect the entire listening room – especially the acoustic focus of the hi-fi system – at least two REFLECTOR units are required. Available as a set of 2, 4 and 6.

The Reflector falls into the category of interference suppression products for the Hi-Fi room. At first glance, it seems to serve a similar function as the GIGA Protector, which was discontinued a few years ago, with significantly enhanced bandwidth and effectiveness.

And here is some early literature on the new “Reflektor.”
I just got my introduction and education in it today. Still in shock over what it does…., the entire frequency spectrum gains a lucidity, intimacy and presence which the Grid and EMI can only hint at. The Reflektor will be part of Schnerzinger’s new top range and not intended to replace the Grid and EMI. Simply needs to be experienced in order to understand its contribution. Available this Summer.

Yes, they did it again, absolutely insane. Hearing and not getting them means you should try to lose your memory as soon as possible to avoid being frustrated without this magic, there’s no way back. More space in any dimension, more air and resolution, much more life and dynamics, the soundstage fundamentally changes towards a hundred kicks of liveliness and realistic illusion.

It simply doesn’t make sense to spend more than even 50k on a stereo without such Schnerzinger stuff, even if it would mean half of the budget. And there are 200-800k+ setups all around the show, which make absolutely no sense in comparison. You simply get nowhere with just buying more expensive sources and amps in comparison. I was floored, too.

I've put my order in for a 2 pack

Hello. I have been following this thread with great interest for a while and based on the enthusiasm here I ordered the Grid Protector, EMI protector, and Allocator. The Allocator replaced an older Audience Adept Response power conditioner. Unfortunately, a few weeks after I installed these three Schnerzinger pieces I encountered a problem. My house was hit with a temporary power outage that caused a power surge that blew the metal cap off of a capacitor in my preamp. When I purchased the Allocator I did not focus on the fact that it does not have built in surge protection. My question for those using the Allocator is do you have some other type of surge protection built into your system?

Usually any no compromise audiophile solution avoids add. surge protection as it’s a sound quality killer.. For non listening phases I use a parallel surge protection solution (it’s just a plug, plugged in the first or second free place in the distributor), for listening phases I use nothing and pull it out.

Thank you Jazzjunkie. I may not be in the league of “no compromise” audiophile. Given the number of power outages I experience here in North Carolina I need surge protection. I appreciate your input though.

I feel your pain and understand your anxiety. Where I live we seldom get thunder and lightning so I have never used a surge protector.because it does affect sound quality I like jazzjunkie's solution by pulling it out when listening

Hi John - hope you’re enjoying your new devices! Absolutely true re surge protection…, an inconvenience for sure, but Schnerzinger will not compromise for the exact reasons above…

Just had a couple EP2050EE whole-home devices installed, one on main panel, one on panel with all the dedicated circuits. It’s not just the thunder and lightning— sometimes it’s a wrong-place wrong-time squirrel or the local power company doing a quick power shunt or a car/power pole get-together…all these kinds of events make it difficult to have a truly “safe” listening session. And I like to leave my non-tubed equipment on 24-7 absent area storms …

Thank you pdubya, I will look into the EP205EE product. That might be just the ticket for me.

Greetings from Jakarta, Indonesia... I have been using SCHNERZINGER system since 12 years ago, far before the RESOLUTION series and all new PROTECTORS are available like this one.. Long time back still only REFERENCE and EXTREME series and I am still using the old GIGA PROTECTOR. Truly a powerful system.
