James Bond - SKYFALL Trailer

I have always been a huge James Bond fan having read all of thge Ian Fleming novels. I have seen all of the movies as well as all of the actors playing 007

I used to say that IMO the only James Bond was Sean Connery however the present day version with Daniel Craig really is what James Bond was all about BUT Sean Connery had the suave whereas Daniel Craig has the macho.

Who can forget the names of all of the women in Ian Fleming's books (Pussy Galore comes to mind :))

Javier Bardem is the villain

BTW, this is not the official trailer

I used to love reading his books. I would spend all of my allowance on them. Sean Connery was in a class by himself. As to the current Bond, I know I am in the minority but I could never warm up to him. I appreciate the fresh angle but I think it is too serious relative to the flamboyant original Bond.

Connery was the best Bond, no doubt. Roger Moore was the worst or at least tied for the worst. Moore was the Saint, not Bond. Daniel Craig is second.

David Niven was the worst but then again do Parodies count? I consider the original Casino Royale a parody. :D

Roger vs George. Tough call.

I could never cozy up to any of the movies after all of the original Fleming novels. I mean "Octopussy" ;) c'mon

It was the first 10 minutes of Casino Royale that hooked me on Craig but yes Sean Connery "IS" James Bond.

BTW, IIRC Sean Connery had a role in Octopussy

I would have loved to see Connery in Live And Let Die. That movie was great in spite of Roger Moore.

I read all of the books in a single summer

Some very familiar faces (definitively the same actors) from the movie 'Collateral' starring
Tom Cruise, and directed by Michael Mann. ...Representing the bad guys (who hired Tom Cruise as the hitman). If you've seen that flick you know who I mean.

Also, a copycat scene from the movie 'Desperado' starring Antonio Banderas, and directed by
Robert Rodriguez. ...The explosion scene where the two are jumping (Antonio and Salma, from a running bus).

* The last two Bonds; 'Casin0 R0yale7' and 'Quantum 0f S0lace7' are my two faves.
...And I got all James Bond 007 movies (half on Blu).

Dr. No the first will always be my favorite. Sure the production has lost some punch, and while the suave Bond was presented, so was the ruthless killer. That side they slowly drifted away from till Craig. Read all the short novel's years ago. That dark side is what I have always remembered from the books. Plus, Dench was a create choice. She has my favorite line in Royale. I believed she would do it. Always felt that if the off the cuff JFK remark did not happen Bond mania, as we know it, may never have occurred.

I never understood Quantum Of Solace even though it was a terrific action film

Read 'em all too as a kid and look forward to this one. Hopefully Sam Mendes takes the time to tell a story and deliver the pleasures of Bond -- I thought QOS was incoherent on both story and action sequence levels.

I like Craig every bit as much as Connery. We're in heavier times now than when the Bond series started, and I think his take on the character reflects that. If you want to see the role that got Craig the job, watch Layer Cake, a great movie.

I'm with you Steve, QoS is ok, but it pales when compared to Casino Royale.

Dalton was the worst, my son collects many memorablia of 007 and has, among other items, books, extended versions, lim ed posters, etc.... I like the stories, cars and action involved in all movies - agree on Coneary and Craig as the best characters. Flez007 :)

Cool flick!

* Quantum ...007 is simply part 2 of Casino ...007. ...Just to remind few people.

B00b7 :b

Sean Connery was the best I grant you, but I also liked Roger Moore quite a bit. "Live And Let Die" is my fave Bond movie, and maybe that's why I feel that way. Daniel Craig is very good , but I gotta tell ya...I just haven't been overly enthralled with the movies themselves.
