John Wolff at Classic Audio Loudspeakers has been making a Hartsfield reproduction for 40 years. In that time he's figured out a lot of things that help the speaker out quite a lot- getting more bass extension and impact, beryllium diaphragms for the midrange so no breakups, using field coils and so on. The result is a more refined speaker with greater detail and smoother to boot.

For the most part correct … However This particular thread Is a reference of the *Original And Now Vintage Hartsfield HornTransducers* Out In the wild … I would be grateful that should you wish to discuss the Classic Audio Revision of the Hartsfield ? that you start an entirely disparate thread topic to that effect.

Sorry - didn't see anything like that in the thread title, which simply says 'JBL Hartsfield' nor did it say anything like that in your opening post.

Fair enough …However I would have thought the content thus far might have given a clue , but thanks for your consideration .

Oh …Yes I am … Which is why I would prefer to keep this particular thread about vintage Hartsfield’s within folks systems .
