Never heard anybody asking for written approval for standard tubes types mentioned in the manual. On another note as like to discover “odd” tubes types i do ask Lampi if specific type is OK to be used.
Thanks! Not looking at rolling anything too weird!Never heard anybody asking for written approval for standard tubes types mentioned in the manual. On another note as like to discover “odd” tubes types i do ask Lampi if specific type is OK to be used.
My Baltic 3, built in spring 2022, has Jupiter Copper, per the build sheet.Zero Lampis for years now does not have any other caps installed except Myflex which are Lampizator labeled/branded.
Are you sure it wasn’t a 7119 / e182cc tube? They are taller novels, dimensionally similar to el84 and I'm told can make a good-sounding sub for 6sn7. Here's one from my stash, an early pinched waist D getter version. At the capital fest I noticed that a horizon was using a 12AT7 with an adapter in place of the 6sN7 tubes. Can you also do this with a Baltic 3?
It was OOS of Myflex during spring '22My Baltic 3, built in spring 2022, has Jupiter Copper, per the build sheet.
I don't know what OOS means. It was OOS of Myflex during spring '22
OOS - Out of StockI don't know what OOS means.
Lots of folks research these things and take what's written in forums at face value.
I'm simply providing a data point that some Lampi DACs (at least one Baltic 3) were built with Jupiter Copper caps up to at least the end of March 2022.
Out of Stock would explain a Jupiter for Miflex cap substitution. Supply chain issues.OOS - Out of Stock
Did not say its not possible to get any other cap other then Myflex and nice to hear other options still are available
Yup - there was...I believe, as you said, supply issues forced e11 to lifeWasn't there some discussion about Engine 11 being driven by supply chain issues that made Engine 53 no longer possible?
Probably Paul but is best to email Monika at the factory for written confirmation as they draw 50% more current, rather like the e80cc. Perhaps the better question to ask is whether you can run both of these valve types together, as the e80cc are cuts above most ecc82s.Are ecc32's safe to run in the B3? Thankyou
The factory ships with 12au7.Hi,
The Lampizator site says the Baltic 3 tube supplement is:
2 x 5963 Jan
2 x 6SN7GT (other options)
1 x 274B rectifier (other options.
Can I use 12AU7's for the 5963 tubes?
thanks as always,
Thanks.The factory ships with 12au7.
Yes indeed, though there are some equivalents you can substitute eg e80cc for 12au7Thanks.
so,
2 x 12AU7,
2 x 6SN7gt
and one rectifier.
Right?
