Bless your heart LG for keeping the juice flowing for OLED TVs. After Samsung's major pullback, LG is left as the only major supplier of these displays. Let's hope they get more design wins and continue to lower the cost. http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/tech/2015/03/133_174866.html

LG Display plans to team up with leading television makers in Japan and China to boost its organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panel business.
"We are in talks with companies from China, Japan and the United States to create an OLED Alliance," company CEO Han Sang-beom told reporters, Monday.
He did not specify details of the alliance.
LG is the industry's biggest supplier of OLED panels that are used in premium televisions. It supplies components to major Chinese TV manufacturers and LG Electronics.
Sony and Panasonic of Japan are new entrants that have teamed up with LG in the large-sized OLED business.
Its rival Samsung Electronics is focusing on supplying small OLED panels with most of its products being used for the Galaxy handset series.
Han dismissed concerns over its OLED business due to the latest nitrogen leak at its factory in the city of Paju, near the North-South border.
"We have no problems achieving this year's sales target," he said.
LG's OLED manufacturing line, which was forced to slow down for maintenance by the government after one man died from nitrogen suffocation, has been operating since last week.
Han said the company will study the market for flexible OLEDs for smartwatches and other futuristic devices before making any investment decision on its facilities.
Reports said LG Display is the primary supplier for Apple's new smartwatch, which will be presented at its own event early Tuesday.
Han was named chairman of the Korea Display Industry Association (KDIA), replacing Samsung Display CEO Park Dong-geun. The KDIA is the industry's most influential business lobby representing the interests of local display manufacturers.
"Korea's leadership in the display business is being challenged. We should go together to further solidify our leadership," Han said in his inaugural speech as the KDIA chairman.
